Funny thing a lot of people think once your a criminal in prison you should wear that mark rest of your life. Eventhough you served your time to society. If a lot of people had their way people like Danny could have never got a real job and become the person people love today. Just making syre we are clear Danny committed crimes and served his time i.m.o. that should start him from scratch. Yet SO many get branded by the system and discriminated against leaving them to return to crime and prisons. Yet if they did actually get a 2nd chance private prisons wouldn't profit from packing them overfull. It always boils down to greed(prisons police polliticians) or ignorance(people who dont care that 50% prison population is non violent, that think once in prison too bad your life sucks after, and people who think its ok for "the land of the free" to have more humans in cages than any country ever)

Nice. Danny is a really cool dude. Ran into him at a 711 in the neighborhood and he was the nicest dude you ever met. Met you Mr. Leno on Sherman way right before the 170. I was in the passenger side with my girlfriend. Jay goes hey why you ain't driving young man? I was like I have a halo cast on my leg and lifted it so you could see.. Said I just wrecked my bike recently broke my tibia in 4, and Leno goes " oooh get better". Light changed, we drove off and I was stoked. I have to ask my lady which car you were in, honestly cant remember. I was happy that day. This was 2017

This is one of the worst Jay Leno's Garage videos I've ever seen. A lot of joking around with the owner, practically no attention paid to the cars, even the one they were driving! Beautiful '65 Riviera, deserved a lot more respect than that.

@@dlwatib dude its his TV show completely different format. PLUS he already said due to covid they couldn't view cars in garage so he was using all the footage he had to keep content for the channel. Hence this video that was likely filmed last year for msnbc. Plus stop being a grumpy asshat try to enjoy something and stop pushing your negativity onto someone enjoying a video.

The greatest thing I ever saw Danny do was shovel snow for Villalobos Rescue Center when there was a snow storm. He cares a lot about dogs and the community as a whole.

My dad had a 63 Riv when I was a kid, I only got to drive it once. As I recall it was a torque monster. Probably the best looking car that came out of the early 60s. Wish I had one.

I did not know anything about Danny, what a cool cat. Here’s a little trivia on the clamshell headlamp covers on The leading edges of the fenders....1) GM was toying with the idea of bringing the LaSalle marque back, and the Riviera was to be the LaSalle. If you look at the headlamp covers, they resemble miniature 30’s era LaSalle radiator grilles....2) Buick wanted to have the full featured opening headlamp covers on the original ‘63 model but they didn’t have the kinks worked out until ‘65. So they just had fixed headlamps in ‘63 and ‘64 grille.

One of the original Gangster cars of the 60s. I remember driving around with my mom in one, no seatbelts on and the windows rolled up while she chain smoked in the thing. LOL.... the good ol days 👍

My mom had one too, it was silver with black interior. She ran it into a tree and I have a scar on my forehead from eating the dash. I was 4 years old hahahha still had some good memories in that ride though.

I had a second generation. A '66, with the bigger nailhead, 425. Last year for the nailhead engine. '67 looks almost identical, but introduced the 430 that led to the 455. All great engines. After a rat wrecked the Riviera, I swapped the engine and transmission into a '56 Chevy 4dr. Made it kind of a beast.

I love the look of that Buick Riviera, very classy looking car. Nothing else looks like it, it's body is so nicely sculpted with restrained chroming in the right places. Probably one of the prettiest American GT's ever built.

Mr. Trejo seems like a genuinely nice guy (although anyone with his tough guy persona should definitely be called "Mr." just to be safe). His Riv is sweet. My uncle has a '65 Riv similar to that one, restomodded with improved brakes, engine and suspension so it can be driven easier on modern roads. Clamshell headlight doors have been 100% Snafu for a few years, been like that off and on since my grandmother bought the car new. It's currently on "Daylight Duty" only.

Good to see Danny is a class act. Love the Rivi. One of my favorite cars was a 99 diamond white river that I opened the airbox up on and a pulled the super charger, sleeper.
