A TV investigator who has flown over to Tenerife to conduct independant enquiries into the disappearance of missing Jay Slater has urged two men in an Airbnb to come forward.
It was part of a press conference Mark Williams-Thomas gave on Wednesday (June 26) to reporters in Tenerife.
19-year-old Jay, from Lancashire, has now been missing since June 17, when he disappeared in the mountains of north west Tenerife. He had stayed at an Airbnb rental the night before he vanished after 'walking off alone’ in a remote part of the Island.
Speaking to the media, the former detective turned TV sleuth, said he aims to track down the two British men that Jay is said to have stayed with in the Airbnb rental, in rural Masca, if they do not come forward.
"There are two key people that we have not yet spoken to, and these are the two men that took Jay back to that holiday rental in the hills. Those two men have spoken to the police - but are now back in England.
"I urge those two people to come forward. I need to speak to those people, they have crucial information. There will be you, as well as many other people who are asking very pertinent questions in relation to why they were here, what they were doing and why they took Jay back to that holiday rental.
