Jay's music is the soundtrack to my adult life but if I'm being honest looking back now it just seemed like he handled all that wrong and I don't know if the problem was money or something more personal so I can't say if the split was warranted or not. I can say that listening to those records and hearing about the supposed bond between him, his partners & label mates I never thought he could leave them out in the cold like that

Jay offered rocafella to Dame and all he wanted was the masters to reasonable doubt. Dame didnt want to give him the masters and they got into it so jay kept everything. I think it was a more than fair trade he was asking for. Dame would have gotten the lable free and clear, all the artist and their masters and all he wanted was the masteres to reasonable doubt.
