the first vistas had a useless microphone that was just added there for the price tag. hopefully this one is better. last one didnt even pick up my voice and went for other peoples voices.

Yeah I agree, I’ve done half marathons, full marathons, hours in the gym, never a single problem. A great choice for fitness people or even if you are just very active at work and you want a secure fit.

So far I enjoy them. But if I ride my bike. Or if there is any wind when im walking then there is that loud "wind microphone sound." that is because I should be able to hear my surroundings as well? Basically dont use the feature if im moving quickly or if there is wind...?

I fully recommend getting warranties with any ear buds you buy. The xm3s are not nearly as versatile, but the sound quality is better. Have you tried reaching out to Jaybirds to see if they can help you in some way? You don't have to tell them you washed them. Just say the battery just stopped working efficiently.

I found the same. I have to use the smallest fins but finding a fit can be frustrating. Still hoping for a comply foam version to come out.

Tough call. The sound quality is amazing on the Sony’s but the Jaybird’s are still quite good. If sweat resistance and durability are your primary needs you may want to go Jaybird.

The wireless charging is a nice feature, for sure.

some of the vistas has a manufacturing issue and the speaker suddenally stops working. Mine stopped after 2 years.

Did your EQ and control settings migrate to use with the watches?

@@johnhughes3749 not sure about the vista 2’s but I’m afraid all the settings are only controlled from the phone app. If that’s what you mean. They don’t transfer to the watch. Apart from maybe the custom control settings (which could be stored internally on the earbuds). It could well be that once you setup the various options on the Vista 2’s they are stored internally on the earbuds but for sure the EQ settings would be controlled via the phone app. I loved my vistas but I’m afraid I got them very wet and they now no longer charge. My screw up. 😆

@@endo52 I had this problem too on a fenix 6. In my case I had two pairs of headphones paired to the watch and I think and it was having trouble deciding on what to hook up to. I did a full restart on the watch. Was perfect from there. I still have to do it occasionally (maybe three times in the last six months) but no big deal.

I have a s22 ultra and had the same issues so.i took them back and got the jabra elite 75t actives and love them

The in-ear detection is a big one for me - really like that even though it's not as fancy of a feature like ANC and SurroundSense but those are nice to have as well.

May want to try out the new Beats Studio Buds (latest video on the channel). Better ANC especially with wind but sound won’t be quite as good as the Vista/Vista 2.

Oh, I LOVE the Tarah Pros as well! I find the fit to be a little more secure on the Vistas but the Tarah Pros are slightly more comfortable. The fins are a little softer on the Tarah Pros. However, there's the additional security of the cord on the Tarah Pros which I like for more rugged mountain bike rides. The Vistas stay in my ears but there's still situations where they could get dislodged. Thanks!

I used the Runs for along time and the OG Vistas were infinitely better. It went from painful buds to only minority annoying after 8+ hours of non stop music*

I have the same issue with my Bose it's so frustrating

@@CH0PS420 I have the jaybirds now and doesn't seem to drain significantly, but I haven't used it enough to notice. I do notice a very poor range when my phone is just in my pockets.

The new case and old case aren't interchangeable unfortunately, mainly due to the charging terminals which I think are a big improvement on the Vista 2. I also ran my original Vistas through the washer (more than once!) and they still worked great.

I don't find the Jabra Elites to be comfortable for my ears. Sorry!

Since you still have the 14 day, I would spend the extra $50 just for longer battery life (from 5 - 8 hrs) alone. I hear the sound is slightly better... and it was already awesome. You'll keep wondering 'what if' if you don't. I just bought the 1s a couple of months ago so I'm way past any return possibility. I'm thinking of getting the blue 2s when they go on sale 🤔

I liked the customization on the X2/3 but I kept on losing either the fin or tip which wasn’t ideal

@@DesFit yeah, the fins sometimes comes off on mine, and i glued the eartips i use cuz they kept falling off

The Sony’s tend to do better but fit is an issue with those. I’ll have a review of the Sony’s uploaded this week.

It comes down to the size of the Sony’s - they are large and if you have smaller ears I’m not sure how secure they will be. They do sound amazing though.

I haven't had good luck with bluetooth in the water but interesting that it worked well for Mel and Ber ry!

It's about the same as the ANC mode where it can amplify the wind noise. I still tend to lean towards using just one earbud so one ear is completely free to hear my surroundings and not use the ANC/SurroundSense for cycling.

Just got a set.... Horrible wind noise with every setting, when cycling. The wind noise is probably worse for your ears then listening to music too loud.

@@SingleSpeederLife I hva found the best setting is "normal", which actually turns them in to the original Vista... But with a slightly better fit.

Went on a 1hr 30 min ride and didn't cut out once. Thanks!

@@DesFit Those are great overall but in my case with version 1 the conical shape of the bud was causing this uncomfortable suction in the ear canal.

I use the first gen vistas with a Half helmet with or without a face mask (the neck tube kind) no problem. full face will work too but the problem is getting them to stay in as you put the helmet on/ off. You also then can’t change the track, volume, etc via the buds themselves. However you can do that via your phone, but I prefer using just the buds with a half helmet because I can do all that quickly (just a quick click or two), with any gloves, and without taking my eyes off the road. If you only wear full face or 3/4 helmets you’re better off getting a com system imho for a similar price usually with a second head unit to communicate with a passenger or another rider. You also don’t have to worry about them falling out or hurting your ears and hearing surrounding sounds ie ambient noise is better/ safer. (Because with the vista buds and a full or 3/4 helmet the buds tend to get pushed into your ears more and become more like earplugs, which some riders wear but with the music blasting also then you don’t/ can’t hear much else except for maybe your exhaust and wind noise. Hope that helps

Order them. $50/60+ cheaper, at retail. Still available. Doubt these are a massive upgrade, ANC isn't a big deal unless you're flying a lot IMHO. Wireless charging is meh unless you have a phone with reverse WC (I still rock an old Note 9). Something about that $200 price point for buds just hits me the wrong way. You do you. 👍

Along with the fact that you can't truly hear your surroundings with both buds in. Even with the best transparency (Airpods Pro) it's still the safest bet to only wear one earbud for safety.
