If a pirate had a powerful enough computer to pirate and run Helldivers 2, then chances are they wouldn’t be buying a PS5 anyways. So bringing up piracy for a game like this as a reason to not port the game to pc isn’t a very effective point.

I really dont understand the platform war stuff. Really there are not alot of different. Xbox and playstation just have a unique OS. Play what you want on the platform. Im not going to drop another 600 or so on another platform to play alot of the same titles.
All studies done say that game companies do not lose money to piracy!!! The people that pirate will not suddenly buy the game if they can't pirate it , they will wait till the game is dirt cheap rather than buy it. People are not going to just buy it if they can't pirate it is the conclusion
I personally didn't care about making another account and didn't even care about sony's terrible data privacy, but selling the game in regions where they knew people couldn't make PSN accounts was extremely trashy.
If PSN account was mandatory they should've just made it mandatory from the beginning, instead their excuse is "we had soo much traffic on servers at launch that's why we made PSN optional and decided to make it mandatory few months later"

Personally, I learned of Helldivers from youtube videos, none of them official trailers. Bought it off steam, without even looking at the store... Because I already knew what the game was about, so had no need to look at it. The popup asked if I wanted to link PSN, I just saw the skip button, hit it and then nothing ever came back up so I assumed that was it. Then Sony dropped their deuce.
So what if that yellow box was there? In practise, you didn't need a psn account so that was the reality of it and all of a sudden you need one? It proves the psn account is pointless but where console gamers will accept it when companies start charging for online, on pc people do fight back. Not nearly enough I think but sometimes they do!

You can see the total nubers of players in rhe galatic map of Helldivers 2 and then see how many players are feom Steam in Steam Charts and then subtract the later quantity from the former. It always is between 65% to 80% PC players, not even in release date I saw the numbers to be close to 50-50, PC players always have been majority in Helldivers 2.
Helldivers 2 cant even be pirated. It requires to be online at all times to be played, which means there isnt a way to bypass the drm. Even if there is a way to download the game, you still wouldnt be able to connect to the servers.

You can submit a support ticket for both the PC and PS5 versions. Even if Jay watched the video, he would still find a way to spin it into a PC player specific issue and complain about how Sony isn't controlling enough. I don’t pirate games since I don’t want to risk bricking or getting a virus on my 4000$ set up. I do however buy from third party key sites because I don’t wanna pay 60$ for a 4 year old game. If there is a sale on steam for a game I want I will always buy it there, which steam usually always has going on.
