We LOVE the JBJ Lighting Arctica Titanium Chiller! This state-of-the-art aquarium cooler incorporates the most advanced technological features compared to any other chiller on the market, allowing the perfect solution to stabilize water temperatures for your aquarium environment. These units have been designed for maximum temperature pull down (BTU's) with the least amount of energy draw.
The unique Titanium Heat Exchanger coil design allows for maximum contact exposure. The absolute best element for heat exchange on the market.
The condenser is located on the front side of the chiller. This design draws cool air from the front and exhausts the warm air out the back. This new standard will also allow direct access to clean the condenser grill without any tools to take the chiller apart.
JBJ's Arctica Chiller provides the highest BTU heat removal capacity with the lowest power. You'll save a small fortune on monthly electricity savings!
The built-in thermostat will automatically control your desired set temperature within +1/-1 degree Fahrenheit. Includes a bright LED temperature display that can be read day or night.
Like we were, you will be amazed at how quiet this unit is for a chiller. Definitely a big plus for hobbyists who have aquariums located in living rooms or quiet offices.
Many of the JBJ chillers are no bigger than a standard desktop computer. This compact size allows for easy placement without a large designated area.
And with a full 2 year warranty, you'll get the best warranty in the industry! We've been JBJ fans for years, and you too will see why JBJ's Arctica Chiller is another award-winning product.

Nice video! The background track (used with our permission) is called LABRADOR and can be found on our new CD, Colours.001.

Thanks so much for posting this. Was wondering about the Arctica chiller and how to install it. You make it look fairly easy!

Hi Kishan This model is the DBM-250 1/3 H/P used for 150 gallon reef set up. Remember that there are several sizes and you should inquire with the manufacture as to what size is best for your particular reef tank.

If I dont have a sump, can I use a regular fish tank thats the same amount of gallons as the main one that the goldfish will be in? And does the pump go inside the tank underneath the water?also which size chiller should I get for a 40 gallon breeder fresh water tank?

The music is nice, but hard to heard how much noise the system makes. It sounds (relatively) quiet when running?

MrEye4get hi, and thanks for watching. The unit is actually very quiet. Very impressed with the way it works it has been on the 250 gallon reef system running for a while now and it is very reliable and very quiet

I see on BRS it has a min and max flow rate...for example the 1/10 HP recommends a min of 240 GPH and max of 960 GPH. What is the downside to having a flow around lets say 300 GPH and the upside to having a higher flow go thru the chiller? Is it just takes a longer amount of time to react and essentially cool your water?

It would be helpful if you showed what you did instead of describing what you planned to do, then through “the magic of television” everything was complete with you describing the next step.

how do you maintain it and clean the filters? Mine won't go below 79 degrees right now. Please HELP!

Hi Prince I would do a system reset on the chiller. Download instructions right from the manufacturer website. This is an easy step-by-step process
