Always do an outdoor sound test. Indoors it’s hard to tell how it throws sound because of all the hard surfaces the sound bounces off. Out door tests all day a day til the wheels fall off. I got a real sound system indoors and I’m sure most people do. Not many people have outdoor systems.
Hey dude, For the problem with the passive radiator bottoming out... Try adjusting 45-60hz in a EQ. Just set it a little less and it fixes the problem. But its not actually noticable unless you listen really carefull.
Thanks but unless a eq is built in the speaker I don't use em because they just jack up the rest of the frequencies and I have to be as accurate as possible to the audience
I love the amount of effort you put into your videos, especially with the editing, thank you for the content. I remember the first video I watched of yours maybe a couple of years back with an Xtreme 2 I think compared to a Boombox 2 and I’ve been a subscriber since, I just lurk normally as I’m not big on commenting. I hope it’s okay to ask, but do you know if the Xtreme 3’s EQ software has been reinstated with whatever the latest firmware update is as I’d heard a long while ago they had removed its EQ as it was having issues or something? My apologies for the lengthy comment, I just wanted to ask as I can’t find the answer online anywhere and I am considering the Xtreme 3.
Well thank you for commenting and my videos now blow this one away as far as editing and overall performance. The Xtreme 3 latest update has been fine with the EQ its just partyboost mode now sounds worse since you can't eq it. @@TheAscendedTechNinja thank you for your reply, I’ll check out the video you provided. I was kinda hoping to stay within the JBL ecosystem with my speaker models to be honest as I already had two OG Boomboxes and two Boombox 2’s to go with my Charge 5 so I was hoping for the Xtreme 3 to have had it’s EQ reinstated but as that’s not the case I will pass on that model. I will just stick with my OG Dockin D Fine for now (I know it’s not the best.) Unfortunately I can’t have a Partybox model which I’d love as my neighbours already complain about the Boombox 2’s using normal songs, let alone the times I let fly with the bass boosted stuff. Anyway, thanks again for your advice, I appreciate you and I commend your knowledge around acoustics, I’m impressed!
@Nomadic Soul thanks I try to make every video better than the last, but if you already have the Boombox 2s and Charge 5, I say get the Xtreme 3 when it's on sale
@Nomadic Soul one more thing, The Xtreme 4 should announce in September or CES 2024 but as far as the actual product lunch I don't know but if you're not worried about a big upgrade then still consider the Xtreme 3
