JBL Charge 4 vs UE Boom 3 :Sound Battle 🙄Someone still lagging behind 

I absolutely love the way you did the audio comparisons, switching speakers in short increments during adjacent parts of the same song. Sound comparisons mean nothing if you play a classic rock song on one speaker, then switch to a dubstep song on another speaker. On that note, decent spread of genre swaps, that really matters when comparing speakers. Great video man!

Sup guys, apparently the UE Boom 3 got an firmare update some days ago and i don't know why but to be honest, the bass got a lot better

Boom 3 never sounded so flat before..! Perhaps adjusting the equalizer could've made it better. Charge 4 sounded great as always.

I've got the boom 3, and can say never been happier with a speaker

Boom 3 is just loud and so is jbl charge 4 except jbl has way more deeper bass

I have the charge 4, it sounds amazing(do not have the ue to compare) BUT I got a technics receiver\amplifier from the 70s. And that sounds so much better connected with good speakers. But a speaker is for on the go...

I think the Boom 3 is *designed* so it *sounds* loud: the available power goes into upper bass and a kind of crowded-sounding midrange. I think you get used to the sound signature of your speaker (unless it is terrible:). That said, the Charge 4 has a clean and spacious midrange that rivals hi fi speakers. I could happily own either... except there is no AUX input on the Boom 3. And that's the deal breaker for me.

Jbl nails it every time. To be honest the boom 3 doesnt sound nearly as bad as it does in this video. I have a boom 3 and I think it sounds pretty good. For this video, charge 4 made the the boom 3 sound like but hole. Thanks for the video, appreciated!

I’m glad you discussed the placement of the Boom 3. I prefer the sound of the UE speakers when placed in corners and connected for stereo output. For the price, they do a great job with classical and jazz material. Thanks for being an objective and honest content creator!!!

Megaboom 3 has a natural 360degree sound🔊 JBL is only one directional sound

I have a boom 3 and you can’t really tell the difference on camera. Because it doesn’t pick up all of the music. Plus my boom 3 is really good.

Wow the comments really got to you. Ue boom is a speaker you can throw anywhere, any position and sounds really good. The JBL you have to position it one direction or be in front of the speaker and sounds great. If your to the sides or behind the JBL sound not so good. Both are great though.

If you are listening to this video on a boom 3 or charge 4, or any other Bluetooth speaker, you are not getting the full experience. Even fairly cheap headphones can be better in terms of bass. Through headphones, the UE was maybe slightly louder, but the JBL went far lower. I do not understand why the JBL gets hate, but I believe it is just because people are listening through speakers that do not have as much bass as the JBL, like the UE.

From what i heard in this video i thing that at 60% volume the Charge 4 sounds way better than Boom 3. But at 100% volume it the opposite seems true. At max volume level Boom 3 seems a bit louder and having a richer sound. Charge 4 seems to be a bit flat at that volume.

In reality boom 3 play better i try to compare it with flip 5/4 but boom is stil louder Edit:i like jbl but if u go outside with friends boom is the best portable speaker

Jbl does really sound better less sharper sounding notes, and more of a deep kinda sound.

It depends on your listening preference. JBL is great for indoors and has lots of bass, but the ue boom is much louder and better for outdoor use when you need some loud speakers

The UE has a slight static noise compared the the Jbl. The Jbl is also deeper and clearer

Boom 3 =89 Euro on Amazon, charge 4 = 121 euro :) U should compare it with megaboom 3 (121 Euro on Amazon).

Stop whining. Its advertised as a 360 speaker. If thats the case, it shouldn't matter what direction you have it facing.

The UE BOOM 2 is better than both. I have a Boom 2 and a JBL Charge 3. The only difference is the UE Boom is louder and clearer sounding. The JBL Charge 3 is not as loud and clear but it has more Bass. I enjoy the JBL at home. I take the UE on the go.

I have a Boom 3, and the sound from the one in the video sounds worse than mine. I know Charge 4 has a clearer sound, but not so much better how it is in the video.

I bought off of Amazon a jbl charge 4 I have heard really great things about it also my friend has one and the bass and sound quality is amazing especially for a speaker it’s size I mean it’s not going to sound amazing to something like the extreme series or the boom box but for its size it’s awesome I have a Bose speaker about the size of the charge 4 and I think that the bass is definitely deeper on charge for wich I love I am a bass head and the sound quality might have been a little bit better on the Bose but I love my charge 4 and it is my main speaker it’s for my room so I don’t need something loud like the boom box or the extreme

You do a good job brother and you show me how to properly position the boom 3 & mega boom 3 cause like everybody positions the boom3 and mega boom in the same position I always thought that the front was were the volume button are at and you show me it is not but I do not think that will make a difference when comparing the boom3 against the jbl charge 4 angle it the right way might help people enjoy the boom3 and mega boom 3 a little better but every body that’s compared the boom 3 & charge 4 always give it to the charge 4 so you are not in the wrong just like when they compared the mega boom 3 it’ s always against the JBL Extreme 2

The problem with the Charge 4 is that it's Mono, very Mono. The sound the Charge 4 has healthy bass for the price, but the mono sound ruins it.

I had a Flip 4 that broke and am currently using a family UE Boom 3 while I wait til boxing day, the UE is bloody annoying. It cuts out randomly and can't deal with my body and a few meters of air between my computer and itself. Also the UE's party thing is iffy at times(we have 4 of them for some reason), one never connects

Well the boom 3 has an app and you got a equalizer u Can higher the bass with your phone so he’s not showing its full potential I prefer boom 3

Ive gone through three jbls. Was a huge fan the pulse 2 i beleive after about 2 years battery life is about 4 hours i use it for my driving job. If im the country itll stay paired in any town or city instantly disconnect and will not stay connected. My flip 4 is about 2 or 3 months old and connects but wont play anything i used to be able to factory reset and be good to go. Now it just wont work. Plus the volume up button on it doesnt work anymore so its stuck only half volume. Charge 4 is about 3 weeks old. I like the micro charger but havent used it much but after all those problems im completely done with jbl. I was a huge huge fan .

Mega boom 3 is a better comparison. Closer in size. The boom 3 is more like a flip 5.

Hmmmm.. I have both speakers and I like the UE better lol.. You have to be sat in front of the jbl to get the sound quality but with the UE you can walk around the house and it still sounds the same

In my opinion the charge four is almost like it can’t make its mind up it’s either rely sharp or rlly dull I prefer the megaboom

Ive had boom 3,n jbl charge 3...boom 3 is good at vocal/treble n loud compare to jbl charge 3..meanwhile charge 3 is good on bass,listening to music is great..n movies too...

100% dissagree with this review, because had both of them, and the JBL charge is a major dissapointment, no bass and no volume. If you purely listen to your video it seems like Charge is better, but go to a shop and listen there cause either audio is edited either circumstances which this is audio is recorded is deceiving. I dont't get sponsored but sometimes it makes me mad listening to unreal reviews and buying the wrong stuff, because opinions can be influential. It also bothers me that JBL doesnt step their game up and still many people keep buying for the brand and looks, or small feautures. The one thing I do like from them is their customer service. In small speaker department JBL sucks, starting Extreme 2 it gets good, but boombox is dissapointment too.Than JBL 300 is nice and clear but not much volume. Therefor everyone with sense of audio will buy a UE, and if small speaker (portabillity is important), you have money and mainly like classic I would go for Bose. If you really want a USB charger which ofcourse is nice to have than buy JBL, but for me speaker sound quality loudness, portability and clearity are important combined wit some bass feeling. Sorry for being harsh with my opinion, but as dj and a person that is a speaker fanatic, i hope the quality becomes more important. actually i expected already more evolution the last 10 years ever since Bose was one of first getting lots of noice out of small speakers. Clearity became better but still most speakers lack volume and bass in the portable travel speaker department. And why they dont' come up with UE to create a seperate Subwoofer to connect in their party mode to create the best experience or why almost all portable speakers start their bass frequency at 55 or 60 000 hertz? Anyways hope all brands keep being bought so they can compete to keep improving and innovating. So please JBL after fixing clearity and dynamic sound which they did quite right please bring some better volume and bass in the travel department!!

In my opinion JBL Charge 4 One of the Best speaker now: clear, have a Power and great bass, one speaker, but many details, make a room full with a music, have a long Battery life and simple to use. I had a many speakers: from best of China to B&O and other. And I have a Charge 4 now and I am happy. Small "negative?" thing, may be, is a freecall function. But for me this function is no Important. P.S.: in real life charge 4 sounds like much better.
