JD doesn't know how to use a stethoscope 

Considering how much he daydreams on the job, this would be the least worrying thing concerning JD 😅

I noticed that stethoscopes were curved like that, but I didn’t know that there was a correct way to wear them.

Idk how smart this show is about medical accuracy, but considering the line he's saying, there's a chance this was an intentional joke 😂

I am a nursing instructor, and I’ve found that on occasion, some people have differently shaped ear canals that better accommodate what we would consider backwards placement of the ear pieces.

Doc.. he defo does that on purpose. Think of the line he did it with... 😂

Oh wow. Of my 32 years of existence, I never knew it has the right way to use it. I thought you can just put them in your ears right away

I don't even see a difference.

Even Zach Braff should've at some point realized they're more comfortable the other way.

How doctors put on the stethoscopes are my to go sign how properly researched the series is or what amount the actors put in to made it as accurate as possible.

I've done stupider things day-to-day before the caffeine kicked in in the morning 😂

he puts the stethoscope in and instantly gets that doctor squint going

They can be adjusted though. I work in a NICU that uses all disposable stethoscopes. They can just be turned one way or the other to be able to fit correctly.

I always remember when Dr. Cox got frustrated at a very green JD for paging him about how much Tylenol to give a patient 😂

But so in character honesty. He's a chronic day dreamer, this is the kind of silly but benign mistake he would absently make

I wear earbuds upside down because they fit better that way.

See, this is why I went into a specialty that doesn't use stethoscopes. XD

I think I've seen Dr. House wear his steth the wrong way, too 😅😅

Doctors looking for inaccuracies in scrubs be like “oooooohe put his stethoscope in the wrong direction”

then thats means all beats was noted in errors then...

You can't even see if he's putting them in right or wrong.

I think I saw this somewhere before and I think tv drs do it so they can hear the direction

Honestly for me its uncomfortable to painfull if i put them the wrong way...

Today I learned that people who put their headphones from the back to the front exist. Huh.

I found this out right after I got mine, I put them in and listened to my personal dog, and she had no heartbeat 😮. I flipped them around and that was it.

Zach Braff was probably like these things are really uncomfortable I can't believe doctors would have to wear these all day. He would then take them out when the scene ended.

This mistake gets made on medical shows alllll the time.

Today I learned that the stethescopes weren't bent. I honestly thought they were supposed to be straight.

When I was in nursing school, I was in my patient's room when her doctor entered. He asked if he could use my stethoscope. I took it off my neck, & cleaned the earpieces with an alcohol pad, & handed it to him. He said, "I have never seen anyone do that before, wow." I replied, "One, I'm obsessive-compulsive about my the cleanliness of my ears & hands, & two, you have no idea how clean my ears are; do you really want to share my dirty stethoscope?" He thanked me. When he handed me back my stethoscope, I cleaned the earpieces again with another alcohol swab, & hung it around my neck.

I feel like even Doctors who have been at it for 30+ years must sometimes be not paying enough attention and put them on backwards in a hurry or something like that.
