If that's what you like, you have got to check out 'Last Week Tonight With John Oliver'......He covers some of the most serious issues while making you ROFL
+Chinmay Harkare Jon Stewart (John Oliver's mentor btw), Stephen Colbert, Chris Rock, Richard Pryor, Louis CK, Bill Burr, George Carlin...just to name a few off the top of my head
Indian John Oliver? When you compare like that, you're indirectly concluding that Daniel is unoriginal. Please give the guy some credit for being original. Just an observation, no offense meant Rohit.
Daniel Fernandes dude who r u....didnt know anythng about u and suddenly after seeing a bunch of videos of urs cant agree more that u r the best indian Stand up i jave ever seen....really good..hats off...
No cheap jokes, no attempt to overemphasise a joke or raise your voice, no attempt to make people laugh just by easy self derogatory humour.. pure brilliance. Hands down the best comedian for me.
I love how insightful your videos are without losing the comedic appeal. There is a moral in each one and it's truly amazing how witty your stand up is. Amazing work :)
Hats off to you Daniel Fernandes ! It just took me 2 mins to become a big fan of yours !! Comedy with a thought, I mean could it get any better than this !!!
Pushpendra Bansal kindly shed some light on what was wrong? i didnt find anythng wrong with the arguments given? but well they are my thoughts and can have difference of opinions
Social satire at its best everrrrrrr! This is like BBC and NDTV and Cartoon Network and Comedy Central and Russel Peters all combined in a fantastic potpourri!!!!
hi daniel..i have been watching your videos for some time now and i want to congratulate you for the great job you are doing..rarely we find comedy today either on tv or online which is clean and humorous at the same time..i also like the way you take up contemporary issues and bring out humour from them..i enjoy your videos with my entire family which is not possible with most of the other stand ups today and much online stuff which is obscene and vulgar..carry on with the good work buddy..hope to see u perform live at CLF soon..all the best:-)
This is so spot on!!! I think about this everytime there is a rally or candle light march. How is this helping anyone? If you really care why doesn't anyone help the one who needs help. Or speak up when someone is raising their voice. It's like let other people do everything. We'll just stay safe and enjoy the results or watch the show depending on what happens.
+Shalini Upadhyay Every revolution begins with a walk/ a demonstation, including the French revolution which gave birth to the concept of democracy. It's an ethical act, has less to do with "bringing change" (which it will never do) and more to do with a transformation within the people who participate. If you've been to a walk you care about, you would know. If you've done a few of them, you're no longer the same person. Watch Maya Rao's take in an artistic form, called "Walk" here on youtube if you want.
People who participate in walks are already open to the idea of transformation. I doubt that it would not happen if they did not do it. But other than that I see no results. No change from these rallies. People need to speak up when they see something wrong happening rather than waiting for it to happen and then start to speak when it's too late.
"I doubt that it would not happen if they did not do it" That part sounds utilitarian. There's a lot that has already been written on critiquing this, so I won't repeat it. But if you are open minded yourself I can recommend some literature. There's a difference indeed in living with and standing for a political ethic, and lamenting that things won't change. Things DO change internally for the people who participate if the subject is something that affects them. The stakes get higher personally and professionally. When you witness an unethical act, the urge to not let wrong-doers get away with it becomes stronger. You might think of the Dandi march in the similar sense. What follows is a rare kind of confidence in those people, that cannot be taught or learned. External change might birth from that. "People need to speak up when they see something wrong happening rather than waiting for it to happen and then start to speak when it's too late." Couldn't agree more. The way I see it, when it come to people's lives, actions and speech (what they say of something and what they do in relation to it) are ultimately all that matter.
He isn't a Politician nor is he a Soldier. He is a Comedian and his job is to entertain. And his USP is how he tackles controversial topics in a comic way which is something I haven't found across the globe, atleast not in India for sure. So keep your "destructive" criticism to yourself.
Indian culture is a treasure trove for comedy materials. The complexity of Indian life, Indian prospective on itself and the world, the irony and wit inherent in the language etc are fun to play around with. Its about time that people start exploring it. Good work, Daniel.
this guy is a gem, he's the most intellectual person I've listened to till date. perhaps that's why he's not so popular, intellect doesn't sell, stupidity does. you need a bigger platform, Daniel!
You are amazingly talented, God bless you. Before 2 hours only i subscribed you and believe me from past 2 hours i am watching only your videos, you are such a dude. on a lighter note, please tell me who is Pravin Tambe and what wrong he done to you?
Love the sets of jokes. Always to the point, with a different perspective. Though some people might find it offensive, but he does have a point to prove against the wrong things which we all enjoy or follow with ease.
Man that was real awesome.... You just acknowledged the real problem.... No one thinks about this, the terrorists attack because they want people to pissed of..... Man you're awesome
hey Daniel bhaiya .. have u done ur studies in political science .. it seems .. as ur knowledge Nd the concepts these reveal this .. Nd also i must not forget to say .. u r awesome man
Love how you add humor to reality. Indeed! You're the BEST. Wish you loads of success. Wish you reach every part of the world and hope people are humorously enlightened.
Brilliant! Unexpected and delightful! I literally laughed out loud when Mr Pravin Tambe yet again slipped into one of your masterpieces. This is the shit Danny..you see funny in everything! Can't wait for the next one :-)
Daniel, you've gotten a great humour, an amazing comedian you are! I really like your concept of enlightening youth of all generations for the right things they really need to understand just by few simple funny lines. Great work!! :)
I love and truly respect the fact that you are doing comedy with a strong message. Not just to make people laugh. You are imparting sense and this is where actual wits come in i believe. The fact that u can make people laugh and make them aware all at the same time. This has to be one one of the best stand ups ever. I mean not only are you hilarious but you are doing a great thing. I agree that changing our fb dp into a france flag colour or a candle march wont stop terrorism . And the leaders as you correctly said wont do anything till it concerns their family. We normal people are nothing but for giving them vote and getting shot by the terrorists. However u r awesome! Amazing work!!! I totally love you!
Great one daniel big fan my first encounter of u was a live concert each n every stand up of urs leaves a social message keep up the good work n keep inspiring
I've re - watched every gig online at least thrice by now. It never does not amuse me. It's been 2 years since this was uploaded and it's just better now as we now come to develop a better understanding of how elite stay mum. I have learnt more about popular issues from you than from news channels, probably not following the right one. But I know, I am following the right comedian. Please make the fund group happen with AIB.
Dude! Awesome satire. You covered almost everything one could possibly think of. One thing I liked that how you pointed the 'behaviour of people'. And the termite infestation analogy was great :-P
dude you're one funny bloke! smart comedy, not the usual i'm from so and so land and people here do this blah blah. crisp , smart and efficient delivery. bravo, more please
Hats off! You are one of the real good comedians i have come across in recent times. Making aware of serious matters on a lighter note. that too without reaching vulgarity! Please upload more videos ps- That boko haram mention, loved it!
we need more comedians like him. i know he is not exactly practical but at least he is making us realize of the senseless bullshit that sometimes we do
Loved it Daniel. But I do not agree with what you said right at the end. You wanted them to stop feeding the terrorists more material to get angry about. But by stopping the publication of the comics, the terrorists would've achieved what they wanted, and terrorism would've won. The publication and also some other German press people published these cartoons as a symbol of defiance, of protection of the freedom of expression, and that should may have the annoyed the terrorists to a whole new level, but it didn't let the terrorists win. This is just my opinion :D
loved it in its entirety but loved the last food for thought the most "terrorist group are like annoying lil children who fling bag of dog shit at your door. you own the dog wait till its time to let it bite" witty and really amazing loved it Daniel Fernandes
Brilliant! Great punches! Didn't seem very correct, could refute some points but its got great flow of ideas! The Pravin Tambe character works!.. it shows you've got a brand ;D hilarious
