Jeanettecentaur goes through her BOB(Bug Out Bag)/INCH (I'm Not Coming Home) Bag. It is a Eberlestock Skycrane 2 with attached Superspike duffel, Little brother, LP1 top pack, and Skycrane frame. This is what she has decided to carry and YMMV. Please leave comments or questions about gear below and we will try to get to them ASAP.

Great INCH bag loadout. My wife is 5 ft and 130 lbs and her loadout is around 60 lbs and she carries it comfortably with no complaints. I think having a good pack makes it much easier. We live in the Appalachian Mountains and go out for days at a time. All these people whining about weight are just weak and need to toughen up mentally and physically. Also, some people are gonna be in remote areas with little to no human contact. If you are constantly getting into firefights with people in which you have to run, then you're in the wrong area.

People over emphasize the whole travel light thing. Not sure if they all have debilitating spinal injuries or what. So few people think to pack goggles, night vision, other optics, and back up batteries for their laser sights & tactical lights!! Those ponchos really are awesome, no survival kit is complete without 1 (or more!). Honestly, the only thing you're really missing is radios. For such a long term survival rig, communication will be crucial. Stored in Faraday cages, of course. ;)

Just bought one, love it. Lots of room. About 58 lbs loaded out.....not including weaponry and ammo.

Allthough these preps have been thought out well on which i can assume had a good intention this is a ludacrious amount of gear, try and run with this pack on for 5 minutes straight, gauranteed you will want to drop it and pass out.

Don't try to patronize me, I am quite familiar with an INCH bag, but if that is the case where you find yourself never coming home, you don't pack your entire wardrobe, you pack redundant items that if for the better have multiple uses to save space and weight. Plus the "run for 5 minutes straight" was a random example. Also you're saying "Most people will be walking not running" are you that naive to think in a shtf scenario (especially WROL) you wont be running, also "dropping her pack and returning fire" what happens if she cant return fire, all of those items in her bag are useless. And at what point did I mention about travelling light? I believe if you are making a bug out bag/INCH bag, whatever you want to call it, you should prepare for the worse and hope for the best, but that doesn't mean you should be carrying 'Jet boils' and your wardrobe in your bag. (example) Lets say if you have no means of vehiclular transportation and your only option is to go on foot with your 60lb pack on your back and hike/run/climb for say 50 miles, well all I'll say to you is good luck

+illyounotme I'm sorry but I have to agree with the other guy carrying a bag of this size for any prolonged period of time it's going to be excruciatingly painful this bag has to weigh close to 40 or more percent of This Woman's weight and I'm pretty sure even if she had been training with it everyday that she would wear herself out extremely quick carrying all this gear and this isn't even including water. for every gallon of water you're carrying it adds 10 pounds of weight so when taking out of that into account this bag would weigh on far too much to carry any distance in a reasonable speed

Very nice review...not the slow talk of some reviews. I would camp and hunt with you anytime, nice voice. Of all the equipment I see that you pack I may have missed the 2 man tent and rain tarp, which I feel is a first pack item. I see that Brain (comment below) has suggested a roller duffel bag for more stuff....laughing....would that be a 4 wheel drive unit. Darling, you have done great. You also have a beautiful little doggie there....zombie killer I can tell.....

Thanks for sharing this video; very well prepared, pay no attention to the "helpers" here, everyone is entitle to carry whatever the heck feels right. Just got this very pack myself today but will use it to hike, hunt, plink and fun trips mostly; got it because I am putting together outdoors gears to hit the outside and lose pounds while having fun. Gears are very expensive as I am trying to buy the least heavier stuff and quality. i have a mountaintop pack which is 80 little and load it up after first load of gear arrived and it was almost wanting to burst and weight close to 70 pounds! that is with everything I wanted to carry for a multi day trip so it forced me to go back and keep learning about gears watching videos just like this one..I like to be comfortable and I guess will learn to compromise comfort to weight radio but the Elberlestock pack can load everything one put on it; question is how comfortable it will be hiking different locations and walking miles on end..I do not believe in going out there with only 20 pounds. Really nice load you carry there and if your husband has another of this pack there is no reason why you can not have all you feel you should have with you. Cheers!

I am unalterably opposed to "bugging out" except as an absolute last resort. I loathe to abandon many of the things I have accumulated for the purpose of surviving a disaster, and could not take it all with me. On the other hand I lived very close to Three Mile Island on March 28 1979. So I have lived through having a true long-term bug-out scenario come very close to actually happening! If (when?) the caldera in Yellowstone blows up it would create a bug out scenario that affects a very large portion of this country.

great bag, my only suggestion would be emp bags for your electronics. they're cheap online or easy to make.

KUDOS ! YAHOO ! YIPPEE KI-AYA ! GREAT VID CANNOT DENY THAT PACK WILL BE HEAVY HOWEVER AS YOU USE THE ITEMS IT WILL GET LIGHTER AND AS YOU HIKE OUT YOU CAN HIDE SOME ITEMS ALONG THE WAY TO RETURN TO THEM LATER IF NEEDED I WOULD SEPARATE THE YO-YO REELS AND TRAPS INTO SEPARATE PACKS SO IF YOU DID HAVE TO LIGHTEN YOUR LOAD YOU WOULD STILL HAVE A MEANS TO CATCH FOOD CAN YOU PLEASE TELL THE NAMES OF THE MUSIC YOU PLAYED VERY FUNNY

@gerrykline744
@gerrykline744 9 лет назад
Correct me if im wrong but if you cant protect your home, you my likely to die even faster on your own...I dont understand the run and hide mentality. HD, if it causes your home to fail to be a safe refuge to sustain life, I would this its already to late to leave as the whole area is effected. Home way safer than the woods.

+RockportOutfitters I agree not every event would be stand and fight but if you do have to leave at least they are more prepared than most would be! It's better to fight for life than just give up!

+gerry kline check out a few current world events you would get a really good idea on why leaving the area is better than trying to defend your home!
@gerrykline744
@gerrykline744 8 лет назад
what world event would affect you more so staying in your home or land vs surviving alone out in the wilderness....? If your angle is to defend against the power & might & advancement of the US gov. Your dead before you even blink. What actually do you think, you own that could fend off any sector of the elite military...Im not trying to be a smart ass, but lets be honest we are powerless against such an entity. In one swing of the hand. They can isolate and contain you, contaminate the biological environment upon which you reside, track trace monitor you to prep your undoing against any limited skill or tech you may think is advanced enough to hide or defend with, lastly wipe you off of the face of the earth with the lowest piece of tech they have controlled by the entry level idiot. So lets be honest if it makes you feel better, sure play "END OF TIMES" games and have fun. I do as well. But when reality hits you and I are just another meal for the local birds and rodents. SOrry to say!

+gerry kline Hey! If any SHTF event happens no person can see the future so we can only guess on its scale! No person would leave there house if there was an event a few states away unless to avoid bad weather. If a SHTF meaning the entire or most of the US or the world was effected there wouldn't be a government to help you! No one is preparing to run away from the government only to prepare for emergencies of many possibilities which FEMA says is a good idea! You would only bug out if the SHTF (event) happens near your location and your home is no longer safe to stay in!
