Great video, bro! You helped me with a new relay install! I especially appreciated when you mentioned prying out the relay with a screwdriver. Sometimes they have a lock or swtich to move but not here. Thanks, man!
Just did this and not only did it fix my turn signals from stopping after a few seconds, they now once again click slowly after having been upgraded to LED bulbs. Great vid and def use the slow pry flat head screwdriver method to separate the relay. On my 2000 XJ the housing the relay plugs into is loosely connected to the dash and pulling on the relay hard would have broken the attachment.
yo doesnt look like you do videos anymore. can you give an update tho? Still have the xj? if so hows it doing. Was curious if you went on to be a professional mechanic or something. Hows life ?
Hi! I've got a 1986 Cherokee with a 2.8l V6. I have The gas indicator that keeps moving and it doesn't say how much gas I've left. Do you know if I need to change some electric part or if I need to remove all the gas tank? Thank you
it could either be a bad connection somewhere or the sending unit. I would start by checking all of the connections and cleaning them and applying some dielectric grease
Is this correction for turn signals that don't light up at all or cut off? In my case my signal will light up and click once or twice and then turn off. I'm going to check the fuses again just to be sure it's not an issue with that.
Admiral Off-Road - when you say “flash once” do you mean flash and then stay on? Both my left and right blinkers flash and intermittently just stay on. When the problem appears the hazard lights also just stay on continuously. Is this the likely fix for my issue?
Admiral Off-Road Hey there 👋🏻 So I’m having the same issue as filmjazz here and I just replaced the old relay, threw the new one in, and now my signals won’t turn on whatsoever. Any suggestions?
You can go with a flasher designed for LEDs or use resistors with your current flasher. The resistors will mimic the stock turn signals so they don't flash to quickly
