I am surprised that most of the people in the comments are bashing Jeep compass for the lack of a mere Sunroof, electric adjustable seats, No auto light or wipers. No one seems to be interested about the 2.0 Multijet II diesel engine, 173 ps, churning out a torque of 350Nm. No one even wants to acknowledge FCA jeep for building a tank like strong body structure. Everyone, should make note of the safety kit of the Jeep Compass, which includes Four-channel Anti-lock Brakes, full-function Traction Control, Electronic Stability Control, Panic Brake Assist, Hydraulic Boost Failure Compensation, Electronic Roll Mitigation along with 2 air bags as standard in the lower variants. This is by far one of the few true value SUV/Cars launched in the indian Automotive history. By no means, Jeep Compass, isn't cheap, yet it is worthy of its price tag. Having said that, anyone, who prefers creature comforts such as rain sensing wipers, Electronically adjustable seats can always choose the korean brand. All those folks who seek pleasure from a car for its driving dynamics and rock solid build quality shall chose a Fiat/jeep.
Did not find much more value when compared to Hexa and Xuv. In that sense I must say Hexa and Xuv offers tremendous value. Hexa 4x4 MT is great pick with 4 mode drives, cruise control, auto wiper, auto head light. Having said that, this Conpass looks damn cool. :-D
do they have best engine out there i think no also doesn"t have luxury which compass have we all know that fiat outsourced diesel engine to suzuki which is there bread and butter from last 10 years i believe this this is good proportion , best price is in 15 lakh range
Best car in its segment.Don't listen to some crap channel,better than more expensive hyundai Tuscon and vw tiguan.With huge ground clearance,and Awd system it can go to any terrain at any speed.JEEP COMPASS ROCKS...

@Autoportal I had recently booked a jeep compass longitude optional, but while reviewing it on internet i saw a lot of recent criticism about its built quality and reliability issues. Please suggest me about it,if its still a SUV to buy.
Sir all your reviews are Good but do keep this in mind that always mention that 3 adults can sit on back seats or 2 adults and 1 child as that is important point in India for buyers, Also you forgot to mention how many litres boot space is?
Have visited the showroom... Saw d car.... The car has got Great looks... but the seats should be more comfortable(cushioning) and the rear seats are a bit too upright with no option of reclining the seat (hence , are a bit uncomfortable for long rides or journeys , especially for senior citizens) and they should also provide 8.4 inch infotainment system with rear camera(helps when you intend to reverse the car , especially for not so tall people) starting from the longitude variant....
Don't know why people would look at any other company than Jeep for mid-size SUVs. They make a cheaper version of the ranger rover, what else do you want? because that is the very best and no.1

No electric adjustment for seats, no automatic, no panoramic sun roof and no lot of other things. If you want all those things, pay more and buy a Tiguan..
Wel done Ashish. Car really looks promising. It'll age well and will always carry that wow factor with it. Build quality is good. Only down side (besides the useless features) is practicality when compared to other rivals. But we don't live in perfect world so gotta compromise a bit. So nice package.
The Jeep Compass 1.4 petrol engine is not a Tjet what we see on Punto Abarth. It is rather 1.4 MultiAir which you find in a 595 competizione. So a correction.
Hi, I also like Compass very much, but tell Jeep to Add few but Important features like Sunroof, Sat Nav, LED DRL and auto rear view mirror, and I'm sure that Compass going to be very successful car.

Creta has better accleration and top speed, 0 to 100 in 10.3 secs, and 190kmph top speed, also better ground clearance at 190mm.Also costs much less on road, top end models 9 lakhs plus more for compass.

This cars gonna Blow cars like Hyundai Tucson & VW Tiguan if priced competitively like 15 to 20 lac bracket , what I like is the looks of the car , looks like a real Muscle SUV , also the Built quality is top notch ,only thing missing is a 9 speed zf transmission and off course u get an iconic Brand
Well no comparison between Tiguan and Compass ....with engine to engine comparison compass 2 ltr diesel starts at around 20 lcs on road delhi compared to 32 lcs for Tiguan..even tough i agree that the Tiguan interiors are much superior and it comes with the best DSG gear box however the biggest difference is that Tiguan is an all wheel drive ( a four wheel drive ) however compass 4X4 starts at 25lcs plus on road delhi .. .. performance and output of the engine is the only thing comparable between the two .. and also tigun is whopping 12lcs more expensive than compass and TIguan competes more with the like of fortuner and endeavour
Ohh so thats the jeep plan, they would manufacture it in India which is relatively low compared to other regions while they would export it outside India in the relatively high price! and earns lots of Profit! though profit from India will be less
