wait. So the tire wasnt moving because it got stuck to fender?? I thought it stopped coz the varilok was too weak to transfer enough torque. eg at 2:53 the rear wheel doesnt look stuck and it still doesnt spin. Im considering buying a WJ and putting precisely the tires you have, but its kinda pointless if QD cant hande them :(
That too, the varilok isn't that good like real lockers are. I selled mine, because that always want something to repair. Even that mercedes diesel isn't that good as they talk, puel pump and injectors are weak, and axles are noisy. I dont reccomend Jeep, but it's your choice ;)
I would recommend Jeep but not 2.7 Grand Cherokee. I had the same problems with my 2.7 and it have big turbo hole so when you are in mud hole and you need a good start, forget it! My father have 2.5 turbo diesel XJ (manual 5 speed) and it is much better off road vehicle even with open difs. On this link at 2:50 is example of that turbo hole and what happens if you stop in the mud hole: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZZeOclJracM.html Besides that it's a really nice Jeep! BTW great video and beautiful Jeep!
Wich one do u recomend 2001-03 2.7crd or 4.0i, and why also planing putting 35in tires on it, i want to do u know a bit mudding, rock climbing, crusing offroad u know. And what are pros and cons of each one
Your tracks are deep and you're bellying it.... Try a different line. I've fitted an ausi lokka in the rear of mine. Goes everywhere. Absolutely brilliant.
Please tell me what is the correct procedure when shifting from 4hi to 4lo ?? Should the car move slowly (3-5 km/h) or it should be stationary ? Is the same procerude when shifting from Low to High gears ?? I cannot find any info for 2.7crd
QD Clutchpack worked, but my tires was too big, and then tire stuck to fender. But yeah, that car was driven 340 000 km and that is reason for little worn. I dont know what oil previous owner used, but i used Motul 75w-140 gear competition oil and that mopar lsd oil add.
@@ragnartapver3 LOL Stuck to fender? Well, then the tire would rippoff the complete thing. There is no stuck because of a plastic fender. Anyway, i saw the video now for the 3 time. The quadra drive is wornout, believe me.
@@Knochensplitter can functional QD handle 265/70 r16 tires? i mean if just ONE tire has traction on the whole car and its on hill, will functional QD be strong enough to move the car?
Comfort is good, but i dont reccomend to buy that jeep, because that jeep broke my wallet :D Durability isnt the best. I bought that jeep and repaired it with over 3000€ and then i droved maybe 2 months with no problems and then it started all again, every month it needed parts at least 300€ worth. If you want good 4x4 with good durabilty, then i reccomend to you something whats made in japan ( Land cruiser, patrol, pajero etc.) But if you really want that jeep, then for sure dont buy 3.1 diesel. If you want diesel then only way is with 2.7 crd (Mercedes engine).
@@anrioff-road7421 you have no idea what youre talking about. quadra drive has 2 diff locks, low range, solid axel front and back, more clerance than a Land cruiser, full time 4wd, factory skid plates. engine is the worst part because its a Mercedes, not american V8. stick to your shitty Terrano
