I recently finished the installed the Accuair Jeep Jl Air Suspension System. If you are unfamiliar with this kit is it basically an adjustable air lift kit that with the press of a button can be lifted or lowered.
This video is just after installing the system and after my first long drive with the jeep. I would like to mention that I am definitely impressed about the ride quality and performance. BUT, before I give you any feedback on the ride quality and features of the system, I want to take some more time to drive and test so that I have all the information needed for that review video.
While I am doing that I wanted to give you all some feedback about the installation of this kit. I wanted to let you know you my overall thoughts are with the install, let you know what issues I ran into, let you know how I solved though issues and let you know what I needed to contact Accuair customer service about.
If you have not already, please make sure to check out the unboxing and installation videos from the links below;
Unboxing: • ABOVE MY EXPECTATIONS!...
Installation Part One: • THE MUSCLE! - Accuair ...
Installation Part Two: • THE BRAIN - Accuair Dy...
Please enjoy the video and if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to post them below and I will do my best to answer them as best as I can. Please make sure to subscribe to the channel so that you will get notified when I post upcoming review videos of the kit.

Very good work! Very instructive, this already answers several questions as I am thinking of equipping myself with this system for my JLU Sahara. Also, I can't wait to see your next reviews about test driving it, especially after the storm we had during the week just before Christmas. And, by the way: Happy New Year!

I was thinking about this system for an overlanding build. I don't plan on rock crawling my Jeep so I thought this might work really well.

Yeah this would be perfect for that.

Sorry to bother you again. Just wondering if you got any measurements at 1/2/3 settings… I’ve exhausted the questions I can ask accuair. And you are the only one that has documented anything. What these measurements come out to be will determine if I install this or send it back..I don’t know if either of these measurements would be easier… I measured from ground to top of the driver mirror (62 inches) or from ground to the lip of where the top of the spring/airbag bolts/sits (32 inches) or frame right under the driver door to ground (17 inches) Thanks again and sorry
@evolvedjeepin

Hey are rough numbers, but from the ground to front Rubicon fender 41.5/43.5/45.5 and from the ground to bottom of step which is like 1/4 from seam is 18.5/20.5/22.5. I'll probably do a video of these measurements soon. Remember I have 37" tires.

@@evolvedjeepin yea I’m running 37s as well… bfgs which run a bit small but still 37s. If you get a chance, maybe ground to top of mirror which would be pretty universal of a measurement… wish they would add a dm feature on RU-vid.. would make this much easier

@@Jeffski329 bottom of driver side mirror, actual mirror not the arm, 56/54/52, give or take 1/4.

@@evolvedjeepin thanks so much… with all those measurements I may come out a 1/2 inch to inch taller. Which is wild. Thanks again and look forward to your future videos

Just ordered this for the reason of having the family get in and out. How would you say it rides compared to a spring lift? I’m coming from a rock krawler lift and was hoping it would ride a little smoother. How much lift did you gain over stock? Also did you need to lengthen your driveshaft for the lift you achieved? I have a 2.75 inch lift with 37 s and haven’t needed to but was wondering if you would since it was not going to be taller.
@evolvedjeepin
@evolvedjeepin Год назад
Ride is still a lifted jeep, but when you drive on set 1 on the highway I think it's a little smoother. Lift is about 2.5-3 inch at preset 2. 5.5 at preset 3 but you don't drive at that level. You do not need a drive shaft. I actually have a review video coming out soon.

@@evolvedjeepin is there any way to get a measurement of the distance between the top of the tire and the bottom of the fender at the three settings. I’m just trying to compare it to the lift I have now and I’m also running 37s. And want to make sure I won’t rub, or loose any lift at the normal driving height. Don’t want my jeep to sit any lower than it is now on a normal basis

@@evolvedjeepin is there any way to get a measurement from the bottom of your fender flair, to the ground, or the distance from the front of your pinch weld under the driver door to the ground. Think that may be a good way of determining how much height is gained versus a traditional lift like I have. Any info would be huge in making my decision better
@Jeffski329
@Jeffski329 Год назад
@@evolvedjeepin I also just too a measurement. From the ground to the bottom of the pinch weld right behind the front tire was 21 inches… and then I also tried from the ground to the bottom of the frame under the front door. That was 17 1/4 inches. Not sure if any of those measurements could be starting points
@evolvedjeepin

@@Jeffski329 I forgot to get those measurements for you tody, let me see what I can do tomorrow.

What aftermarket driveshafts did you go with? Preset 3 which is 5 inches will destroy the front driveshaft in 4 wheel drive. You can get away with the rear driveshaft.
@evolvedjeepin
@evolvedjeepin 8 месяцев назад
The driveshafts are stock. The system is designed to work with the stock axles. Yes it's a 5 inch lift on preset 3 but that is why the system does not allow you to drive over 25mph on preset 3. Preset 3 is really only for when you need that extra clearance offroad.

Go to 7:15 in this video. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EuHdSR_7nqA.htmlsi=smzLkow9eBbPHXH9. Yes 3.5 all day is fine but extended rock crawling at 5" would be an issue. Even accuair themselves say most of our clients ride at 3.5 so we've not seen an issue. So hopefully you are not a 5" client. I personally like big obstacles.

how does it ride for city driving?
@evolvedjeepin
@evolvedjeepin Год назад
Actually pretty good, shock and bags do a good job absorbing the bumps. It still rides like a jeep but definitely pretty good for a jeep on 37s and a lift. I'll be doing a driving review shortly.

still better than taring up replacement OEM parts, tj-now ( 2006 unlimited rubicon full loaded, and yes the 4.0+auto sucks and should have been a v8/3d-gen or v6/derango ) should have been a RPO code option for it mine eat 3x parts and based off others complaints seam's like a common issue aka im not a lone, more so sagging and or not being able to towing anything at all
