Like your video, for purging the air you don't need to dissemble the plate ,drill a bigger hole in the plate and install a trucker purge valve,that will fix your water problems! Under 10$ fix

I also had a small air leak. I had a creative way of finding the leak. I work with refrigerant gasses. I have a very good leak detector. I emptied the air tank and system. While the compressor was refilling, I bleed in the air intake a small amount of refrigerant. Used my refrigerant leak detector to sniff out the leak. Found one of the residual pressure valves leaking on the driver's side. If you have any more leaks in the future, maybe you can get help from a HVAC technician

Interesting technique.

@evolvedjeepin It took less then 5 minutes to locate the leak. Did not have to soap EVERY possible leak point and make a mess. Only used soap bubbles to confirm the leak visually.

Just found your channel and love your videos. I noticed you took out your geometry brackets when installing this lift. Those help with geometry even if you have different and/or adjustable control arms. That would probably help with the feel on road.
@evolvedjeepin
@evolvedjeepin 5 месяцев назад
That's true, but the problem is that the height sensor for the Accuair kit is located right where those brackets would be so it wouldn't work. So you would have to do something custom to mount the sensors.

I would drill a hole in the skid plate to where i could access the drain plug and then have a rubber or plastic cap/plug for the hole.

Well it is not really needed if the purge valve is working correctly, on my most recent video I got a new purge valve from them to solve the water issue.

Ever thought about installing another brand shocks like falcon or fox?
@evolvedjeepin
@evolvedjeepin 4 месяца назад
Yes I have, but I would need to find shocks that have the same extension and compression so that I can raise and lower it without destroying a shock. I just haven't got around to figuring out what that is.

Pretty good "workaround" about having it be more accessible by flipping it around and having a "cover" to protect it. Seeing the way the tank was mounted it seems the brackets could be flipped and held flipped around. Also if the compressor can be flipped most likely a plate to have it hang could be made. Any place to look at the instructions to see if its something doable?
@evolvedjeepin
@evolvedjeepin 6 месяцев назад
I believe the compressor would be able to get flipped and be mounted upside down. And I believe I have seen it upside down on air ride low riders. The compressor is a viiair compressor so any instructions on the compressor would be on their website. I think definitely in the future Accuair might think about redesigning the mount system because they seem to be a smart company that is always evolving their products.

1st I've become a big fan of your channel & appreciate all your efforts to put out quality videos. 2nd I know it's really cool to be able to adjust each corner & being able to show off its features while every day driving & think it's gotta help lowering the jeep when driving on highway and such with fuel economy. BUT if you had to do it over knowing would you purchase it again !? As cool as I think it is I gotta wonder the real world offroad applications , I think with as much as it costs you could save a lil money & still put a high end complete lift from EVO or something comparable & gain a lot offroad compared to the accuair set up !? I'd love to get your thoughts ??? Thanks OH fyi if you just take a holesaw & drill a hole directly below the drain valve it would make that process extremely convenient if/ when the perge valve isn't working properly....
@evolvedjeepin
@evolvedjeepin 3 месяца назад
That's a great question. I think for myself I would do it again, yes I know cost wise you could get a good kit for the same price but this kit not only gives you a 3.5" lift but also onboard air. Also for myself because I don't off-road all the time and I live in the city so this kit is perfect for me. There have been numerous times where I have had to lower it down to get into a parking garage. Also from what I have seen this kit is great off-road aswell and this summer I actually plan to test it out a bunch to see if those reviews are correct. Thank you for following my channels and watching the videos. As for the purge valve, I actually just posted a video because Accuair sent me a replacement valve because mine was not working, along with a new skid plate.

Ive been considering this for our jeep, mainly because its my wifes daily driver and she says she doesnt want a tall lift on it because she is so short and she feels like it would be annoying to have to climb in and out everyday and your videos on this lift been very helpful. I dont plan on going bigger than the stock 33's but do you know what the ride height levels are as compared to stock? And do you think an access hole could be cut in the plate before install to access the tank to drain the water?
@evolvedjeepin

I believe it's -1, 1.5, 3.5 and 5.5. Yeah you could probably cut a hole but that would take some time the steel is thick.

Thank you for your great and thorough review. I just started working for ACCUAIR and have installed 3 kits so far. It looks like most your your issues have been addressed on the new production kits thanks to your and other feedback. They are now available with the fully adjustable JRI piggy back shocks as an upgrade, The new computer has a purple (dimming) wire that hooks to the license plate light and auto dims when your headlights are on. The app has had several upgrades that hopefully work with the older controllers.(I'm pretty sure the next one will over-ride everything). I live in the So-Cal desert and haven't had the noise thing yet, but will keep an ear out for it.

Great video and very helpful, thank you. I was just in AL on some off-camber trails in AL and due to the height of my rig I could have benefited from per-wheel adjustment to wangle my way through hard obstacles. Can I adjust each wheel independently? Based on all the media, I believe this system will allow me to do that. please confirm when you have a chance and thanks again for the informative video, I look forward to the year two video. - SB

How does the ride compare to the stock suspension?
@evolvedjeepin
@evolvedjeepin 6 месяцев назад
I think if you were on stock tires it would be ride smoother then stock but because I have heavy 37s I feel like it rides the same as stock, or at least the same as all lifted jeeps I have been in.

@@evolvedjeepinthat is a bummer. I was hoping it would ride smoother than my long arm suspension I'm currently on. I wonder if there's a way to lower the air in the bags to absorb even more of the bumps in the road

Does your Jeep still seem to corner poorly and stuff? You need to correct your geometry man, as this suspension doesn't have any issues with handling at all. The harshness is a problem to me, but not sure how you have harsh firm ride, and yet body roll and wobbly control in corners at the same time. Has to be some geometry issues with your setup. Also, the purge valve on yours seems likely to not be working. Are you sure it is even ejecting moisture ever? Mine does, and we have not found water in the tank ever.
@evolvedjeepin
@evolvedjeepin 3 месяца назад
Yeah I don't really have an issue with handling, I just wish that the shock adsorbed more. I think it's more of a personal preference and how I would like it to ride. Overall it is perfectly fine I think I am just picky. As for the purge value it was definitely not working and they sent me a new one, which I will show in my next video.

Having installed 5 of em here Down Under we can add the following. They hold up and flex just like our other lift kits we sell. You CAN however set the preset Ride Monitor Mode, i use it on my jeep every day and it stays on setting one unless I change it. The app is avereage, and one big tip, do not update the ECU via the app, it will send your Accuair ECU into limp and require reprogramming.
@evolvedjeepin

Thanks for the heads up and good to know you can change the default high. I definitely won't be because of my tires and bumper but If I could I would as I think it rides nice on 1.

@leontheloanguy
@leontheloanguy 3 месяца назад
I just had mine installed as well and everything works when you start it but as soon as you start driving, I can't manually adjust it and the number three preset doesn't work. It also doesn't lower to setting number two when I go over 25 if I'm in level three. I don't know if it's a quality control issue but I think the ECM is bad. It will then randomly inflate the rear shocks to max while driving. Let me know if you get it figured out I'm cautiously optimistic
@evolvedjeepin
@evolvedjeepin 3 месяца назад
@@leontheloanguy There are a couple reasons you could have these issues, incorrect installation, incorrect calibration or deflective parts. If they didn't install the speed sensor wire or height sensor correctly that could be causing your issues. If they did the calibration wrong, like on a not level ground that could also be causing your problems. And yes it could just be either a deflective ECM or even just a wiring harness that could cause these issues. I suggest that you call Accuair's Support team and they can troubleshoot the problem with you.
