Experience goes a long way. Those curbs at the mall don't give you experience. I don't think the guys guiding him did him any favors either. They should have told him to air down and lose some of the weight. "He wasn't ready!" (in Kevin Hart's voice, lol!)

Wow... that jeep has so much money thrown at it and the driver has barely no experience. I always tell people to just go wheeling with their stock jeep until they break something, then start upgrading. First it gives you experience until you break something, Second, it let's you know what the breaking point is of your stock components and then gives you that confidence that you can push to that limit with the upgrade but be careful going further.

How about airing down, lock rear, go to a real trail, go exploring real nature environments and stop playing on rocks next to the high way to see what u break... :)

Just observing... But with spotter like that no need for ennemy... lol Serioulsly the spotter guided him right and suddenly no more directives and the driver got stock with shafts hitting the rocks. Am I correct? And shafts are not designed to be hit I think...

Airing down would help with grip but the issue is the size of the tire and torque on the axle shaft. IDK what shafts they were running. The fact that the tires were turned doesn't help either. You want to have your tires as straight as possible. I doubt the passengers had much to do with the shaft breaking. More so the 37s and intermittent grip. Spin and catch is a huge shock load and = broken parts. Could be a ring gear or shaft, IDK. I was right behind you at the lake. You can see my red JKU with the doors off when the drone footage goes up and pans to the lake.

Airing down makes a huge diffrence. I always air down to 15 psi when off road and I only have 33 inch tires without beadlocks. Many people destroy tires axles and other parts by not airing down. Obsticals that seem difficult become easier. 15-20 psi will make a huge diffrence.

jerry quintana 15psi off road? I run 18lbs on the street and 7-8lbs off road. Jeep's don't way enough to run sidewall air pressures. It will only wear the centers out.

I know I should of air down but the danatrac axle didn't fail RCV shaft did. they say the video and overnighted me a new axle shaft they said that it honestly fail.

Oscar Mora great service back before I upgraded to one ton axles I had rcv axle shafts one of my boots cracked and they sent me a replacement right away.

Looks like you have some high gearing, even with RCV's I still run 5:38's on 37's.

This is why I really don't want to go with rcv's cause of seen plenty of people running these personally and have broke them on some simple ass little hills and their pretty expensive and my stock ones have been holding up fine in my gladiator so I might upgrade to those JUST cause the bumping/hoping I get at full lock so yeah I really don't know what to do

Agree with below, garbage line chosen. Clearly a lack of experience. Arb locker or comp leaking bad as well. That compressor was constantly running.

Everything about this was wrong from the get. And seriously 1 driver and 4 passengers. That's 800 to 1k pounds xtra dead weight. You want to be light as possible over rocks the unlimited is already heavy enough by itself. Spotters were terrible. Definitely air tf down!!

Air down, 4 low, 1 st gear, use a locker if you have one and take it slow. In his defense, those tires do suck-those are pro comp mt's. I ran those on my dodge truck and I hated them like you wouldn't believe. I run Toyo RTs on my Rubicon and 0 issues so far. Far better grip when aired down.

yea, im seeing a lot of driver error as well as bad spotting on this one.... cant blame the RCV's. Always air down, learn to pick lines, if you absolutely need to, use a spotter but only one. I counted several and most of them the driver couldnt even see

They are not cheap but they are WAY stronger than chromo axles + ujoints. Also, if you break one, RCV will replace it.

There’s more ‘off-roading’ related things done wrong within these 9 min than I’ve ever witnessed one jeep driver commit in the same session. This poor Florida flat-lander had goobers around him that sure didn’t help him. . I saw that left driver tire up off the ground and was like ,” no! The pssgr side’s gonna explode you dufuses!!” You know, Tennessee is only a few hours & y’all could practice a bit before trying this stuff or stick to mud. 🤭

I learned my youthful lessons at Tellico OHV. By 2007, we could get a stock XJ with rocker armor and gas tank skid plate, sway bars removed, and 2" budget boost lift. All the way to the top of slick rock trail. It's experience, lines, and spotters that can get you through almost anything. Little jeep was a cheap build to prove a fact. He drove it in and out back to Cleveland, Tn. Lol

At least with air lockers when the shaft breaks it does not damage the carrier like it can with a detroit , so it's simply a warranty replacement of the shaft through RCV or the dealer you got the RCV shafts from ... not really a big deal anyway axle shafts are an items that break and are not expected to last forever...I realize some folks think they should last an eternity but reality is they are a wear item .

Man as soon as I saw that trailer hitch hanging down there I knew he wasn't gonna make it. Total inexperience of both the driver and the spotter. That rock pit is the easiest thing to crawl through. JK's suck without clearance and that long wheelbase. You got that hitch and gas tank hanging down way to far with that spread between axles. Man you gotta air down with that rig, helps just a little.

It's not the Jeep, it's the driver. And that spotter sucked just as bad as the guy driving the jeep too. Sad to see nice equipment get jacked up unnecessarily due to lack of good judgement/experience.

this is the BEST VIDEO for displaying to new or rookie off-road drivers WHAT NOT TO DO when taking your rig to rock obstacles. So much is wrong here, it's as if it's intentional. the 'spotters' are not spotting the driver is not listening to their multiple instructions ,which are all directing improperly. The poor Jeep is on too large , crazy over inflated , heavy tires . It appears to have every upgrade except the ones which fortify it's housing . It's one of the more cringey videos I've ever seen for a Wrangler Unlimited JK on YT. it's sad to observe the guy just tearing a nice ,catalog bolt-on upgraded JKU up by lack of thought & help. Floridians should not try "rock crawling" is the takeaway here? That & have a knowledgeable spotter that you actually listen to & understand how tire air affects performance off-road. yikes.

Might want to change the title of the video. As the Dynatrac Axle did not break. The RCV shaft did, that is not a Dynatrac product.

Nothing could have been done here other than stronger components. All the torque was applied to the passenger side tire since the driver side tire was unloaded. And it was getting intermittent grip...like an impact wrench. This is just a normal off road situation and how thousands of jeepers before have broken hubs, axles, u-joints, etc. Please follow up and let us know which component in the axle broke.

Normal mente, solo veo y no comento... Pero esque no puedo mas...en mi tierra hay un dicho, dios da pan a quien no tiene distes... Por mas preparado que tengas un coche, sino sabes pregunta... 1a presiones de ruedas...las belok además de bonitas sirven para bajar presiones 2a si es un Dana 30 por mas palieres RCV que montes con esas ruedas vas a romper...si es un 44 con diferencial locket de serie con RCV romperas el diferencial... 3a inercia amigos inercia... En serio así parado con las ruedas encajadas en piedras les estraña que rompa??? Inercia y bajar presiones y menos estética, tienen los coches preciosos... Pero por dios agan un curso 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂

This is a perfect example of that old saying “it’s 50% the rig and 50% the driver” In this case, it’s 100% the driver. I’ve seen way less capable vehicles manipulate steeper and sharper rock gardens than that. That Jeep should’ve got through that like a breeze. This video is cringe worthy.

1 spotters were either really that bad or they really hated the driver 2 driver seems to have no experience off road at all, which would not have been a problem if any of the people there especially the spotters would have been helpful people. 3 not aired down, never a good idea to run street pressures off road. Here is some advice. 1 only wheel with people where at least one of know what you are doing.2 use spotters who know how to spot. 3 always air down 4 probably a good idea to make certain that the people you wheel with actually like you. remove anything that shouldn't be on the jeep when rock crawling, you know like that trailer hitch. And lastly number 4 Learn to use your jeep properly to begin with. learn your vehicles dimensions so you will know where the tires are going to hit where to avoid things like driving on your drive shafts and diffs.No one starts out an expert, but listening to those whoi are is always a good start to becoming one.

It seems more like jeeps are just not good off road. It struggled to get over a 6 inch rock. As soon as did it lost traction. When did he break an axle? It didn't look like he just slammed on a rock.
