Hey guy's, Today on the Outbound Terrain Offroad Channel, we will be installing a MIDLAND 32 inch 6dB NMO Spring Whip Antenna. We will be pairing it with a MIDLAND MXT275 GMRS 2 way Radio. The stock MIDLAND 3dB Antenna that came with our Radio is a Bit Lacking in Broadcast Range. The Antenna kit that we used is From WalcottRadio.com. Model number to order is JK-GMRS-ANT-B1. It's the Complete kit with coax cable, fender mounting plate, and the antenna. It's designed specifically for the 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK, and will be a great upgrade and really improve the overall performance of our radio...Hope you enjoy the vid!...Hey be sure to subscribe!...

There is an easier way to run your cable. If you pop the end plate cover off the dash, by the door jamb, you will find a hole filled with expanding foam. Stick something through the foam and it comes out in your engine bay, at the top of the fender. There is an identical passage on both sides.

You do you Chris! I love your shtick. Keep it up buddy. It's hot as blazes out here in Kentucky too. Keep putting up the vids! I just bought a couple of Midland handhelds, and really like them.

Thanks for the video, but, sorry to tell you, that is NOT an NMO antenna mount. An NMO base uses a 3/4" hole and that mount is CB style with a 1/2" hole. Topsy Products is the only company currently that makes a 3/4" NMO mount for a JK. Check them out. And they also have some great microphone mounts for JK's as well.

Didn’t know that, thanks for the info…

The reason you need a License is due to the wattage of your radio Because yours is I believe 25 watts which s double the wattage of your CB and yes the FCC DOES enforce the law.

The FCC License is $35.00 for 10 years and they DO enforce it!
