All of the holes he drilled. I can imagine in a couple of years all the rust forming there if he didnt paint it

yes. The finish around the openings is rough.

Are you referring to the underside? If so, yes... agreed... but that's the part you really don't see. We didn't have any issues with the top side, but we also had it painted and maybe they cleaned it up?
