You would think that since this is a company video they would be interested in follow up questions. The delay question was valid and important but the silence from the company is deafening.

Hi. Comparing this model with the one from Rock Slide Engeneering, which ones would you considerer to be "the best of both worlds"? (daily use and going out on the trails on weekends).

What About when you remove the doors?

I have this system on my JL. When I remove my doors (and disconnect the front door wiring harness), the steps default to the up position. They tuck themselves to the body well, so it still looks good, but you loose the functionality. I added grab handles to help with ingress and egress with the doors off (4” lift and 37’s make for a little drop).

You definitely can! You'll likely need to uninstall the factory rock rails, though. -Zach

That's about 5 seconds or so delay before they retract. Can that time be changed to immediate?

As far as my experience with these RBP Running Boards goes, there is no option for the delay time to be changed. I'd recommend reaching out to RBP's customer service department directly at the following number in order to get more information if you're still looking to purchase. (877) 519-9090 -Zach
