This wrangler has some water intrusion into the sway bar module connector. A new module and pigtail fixed this vehicle up

Thanks you save me a trip to the dealership. I have a 2019 power wagon and after taking it to the car wash and do the underbody wash the sensor came on. After seen your video I when under the truck and located the connector a pull it out and yes was water but no damage to the plug I dry it plug it back and now no sensor showing on the dash. Lesson to learn if you have sway bar disconnect system DO NOT DO UNDERBODY WASH. Thanks again for this helpful video

Just driving in the rain will get the plug full of water best to put dielectric grease in the plug the packets can get from AutoZone for battery terminals. Also the gear set rusts out have to remove that take it apart and clean out the rust put bunch of grease in there too. If you service it like that once a year wont have any issue if you let water get in there end up like this video once it burns out very expensive unit is $1000 plus have no clue what the harness is I'm sure at least $100. Mine still works on my 2007 but now it's developed end play I'm just going to remove it put an aftermarket bar on it. I think I can program it to get rid of the flashing light. I already had manual disconnects anyway after moving up to long arms and 3.5 inch lift with 37" tires it was limiting the axle.

Can you or do you have any additional information on Jeep wranglers. My is lighting up like a xmas tree. The dealer says they see nothing wrong with it. Plus, it's rusting out. I only have 21k mile and it's a 2018. Please help me.

Thanks for the info! Mine kept coming on and it was driving me crazy. Took the connector of and everything looked fine. Cleaned it off a bit and put it back and the light was off. We'll see how long it lasts. What about putting dialectic grease on there? Yay or nay?

Diamondust25 absolutely use dialectic grease . That will help keep the water out

Hey i have an issue with mine, when i plug the connecter, the trans is stuck in one gear. And i cant shift .But when i disconnect the connecter it works fine but no sway bar of course.

What will happen if you just leave it unplugged ?? My girlfriend has a 2016 Rubicon, and the sway bar light has been flashing/coming on since we came back from the beach about a month ago. Any and all advice would be appreciated !!!!

Hey guys, great video and the exact same thing happened to mine. My mechanic replaced the fuse box unfortunately for $1100 which was probably fine, but how do you change those electrical connections? A new sway bar is $2400. Any ideas on how to change just the electrical connections?

Well my question is how do you fix it I have the same problem but nothing is melted but I let everything dry and I still have the same flashing light

Eddie Padilla This isn’t always the problem. This is simply the most common. But there are other issues or the module it self could have went bad. The first step is to have the diagnostic trouble codes retrieved from the computer .

The thing is a piss poor design plug will get full of water, and the gears also once that happens the gears rust out and plug corrodes. I kept mine going for awhile cleaning it greasing it eventually it was limiting my new suspension so I put manual disconnects on it use that now.
