This is exactly what I am looking to do with my YJ. Most people in California don’t know muddying but I live in/on the Salinas River bed and we wheel through the river all the time. 33/35’s just don’t cut it. I need 38-40’s and I should put a small block in it instead of the 4.7 stroker.
Taller tires def help but they can stress everything else! Big motor helps to spin them tires fast to clean em! I used to wheel in Vegas so I know what it’s like in them river beds.
Mine was down from a ride I didn’t get on video then I videotaped the rebuild and just haven’t posted it yet. I swap to a TH400 and got a set of 44s for it. Hope to be back riding in a few months.
