Jeff Beck was a pioneering and visionary musician who recently passed away after a legendary life in music. Thanks for featuring him.

Jeff doesn't just play the guitar. He caresses it and reveals sounds and dynamics. His sound is very unique and often melancholy or frantic but but always a journey. One of my faves "Freeway Jam". RIP Jeff. Keep rockin' in heaven brother.

This is at the Montreux Jazz Festival, 2001. Jeff was opening for Sting. And I was standing right up front. The audience, largely younger trendies there to see Sting, very obviously had no idea who Jeff was. However, about half way through his set he was winning them over, and by the end they were loving him. Sting is a massive Jeff fan. I saw them a few days later in London's Hyde Park, where Jeff attracted many of his own fans, including Chrissie Hynde of the Pretenders. Something you failed to notice is that the other guitarist is the sensational Jennifer Batten, who with her hair spiked up was right up front on stage with Michael Jackson in his 'Bad' tour. Drummer Andy Gangadeen did the Spice Girls' early world tours, and bassist Randy Hope-Taylor came from British funk band Incognito.

I love Mr. Beck's music. And I have made a serious commitment to introducing to as many individuals as I possibly can to this master. Here's a playlist of my favorite Jeff Beck songs. I think this is his best rendition of the day in the life. Next check out Blue Wind, Freeway Jam, love is green, goodbye pork pie this pie song is my absolute favorite by Jeff Beck. However what surprises me the most. Is how many people have heard of this guy. Beck has not had Commercial Success since the Yardbirds I believe.

John Lennon was rhyme guitar in the Beatles, one of the most talented singers ever. He's my favorite singer and the Beatles are my favorite group. John Lennon was the lead singer on this song. Paul McCartney comes in, in the middle bit. You really need to hear the original song, "A Day In the Life," by the Beatles: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-usNsCeOV4GM.html In the video, Lennon is the one wearing glasses, reddish hair with a mustache and long sideburns, wearing a greenish-blue suit. This is actually a sad song about death. It was another of their experimental-style songs. When watching, concentrate on the words and music rather than the video itself. There are a lot of other singer/musicians in this video, such as the Rolling Stone's Mick Jagger and the Monkeys' guitarist, Mike Nesmith.

Jeff Beck is one of the true pioneers of Rock & blues. All the way back to "The Jeff Beck Group" check out Beck-Ola. Or the orange album. I've been a guitarist ever since l saw Jimi Hendrix in 68' at 14. Ask any guitarist and they will tell you he's one of G.O.A.T.'s lve met him twice and he's as humble as he is talented. 🎶. ✌

A true master. Saw him '72, '73, '76. always inventive, pushing/expanding the vocabulary of the instrument. Jennifer Batten, taking a back seat here, is no slouch either, handling lead guitar for Michael Jackson live. More to see with them, with bassist Tal Wakenfield, a prodigy in her own right, or anything you're led to or happen across.

The blond lady on second (midi) guitar is Jennifer Batten. She was good enough (still is) to be handpicked by Michael Jackson for his last three tours. And yet she found time to play second guitar to her hero Jeff Beck for three years and has since gone on record that she learned something new from Jeff every day.

It was written by Paul McCartney & John Lennon. They were both working on a song & decided to put the two songs together. The beatles version included the lyrics which make the song. It's a story telling kind of song.

Agreeing with others, here - You would need to hear the Beatles original as a reference point to understand this cover. 'Wouldn't hurt to hear a bit of Hendrix to understand how he used feedback, distortion booster, whammy bar, and wha-wha pedal to revolutionize guitar sound and technique. You're dropping in on the shoulder of a long wave of evolution, here. It's only natural 'you'd be dazed and confused.

If you ever want to hear John Lennon's original song, get the Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart Club Band album. You will understand even better how great a job Jeff Beck did here. Your roller coaster metaphor was very apt. In 1967 when that album came out, it was considered ground breaking. It was wonderful. Of course, I was a Beatles fan when I was 17 and still am now that I'm 70. Love your reaction videos.
