Love to see him and Joe Bonamassa square off on a stage somewhere soon. Bonamassa makes love to his guitars and that reverberates into his audiences. Every note Bonamassa plays is exquisite and whenever you hear him play it is as if you have died, totally bypassed Hell and gone straight to heaven!
Jeff at his peak? Seriously, he hasn't yet peaked. I think you're referring to the Ronnie Scott's DVD, which is great, and played in a tiny space - 250 capacity or so. He can sure still do what he's playing here.
When I say his peak, imho i think that period is his most high-energy period. ronnie scotts is absolutely great i will give it 11 out of 10. but we can clearly see he is moving away from the high energy techno rock kind of aggression. He knows he's aging so its a very wise move to go for feel like in ronnie scotts.
Agreed, 500. It will be very interesting to hear the new album (march I hear). Supposedly only Jason from current band will sit in (expenses), so the guesses are wide open. Makes for great speculation,
He had too play out his buttock. Jennifer was such a fiery behind him. Had front row center for this tour at the Chicago Theater. It was Beck and all the rest. Now, just all the rest.
I am comparing cos i have the dvd for the 1999 tokyo gig. that time he was much younger so of cos he has more energy. If you compare the line-ups, ronnie scotts' have jazzy players and keyboards. 1999 he has another rhythm guitarist and whole band was quite "rock".
