Ramblin Man! Me too, I had the 💿, but I don't think it's on "Blow by Blow" his 2nd solo album probably. Jan and Jeff together should have been a Supergroup, even better than Cream, IMO-- his playing was otherworldly, no one could do finger- style like Jeff ,R&R Bluegrass -- the ONLY exception was Dire Straight's Mark Knopler, I like 2 think Jeff's playing in the Heavenly orchestra 😥🎹🎶

Love the Miami Vice theme. Used to crank it up every Friday night through my 3 channel stereo VCR into my 3 channel amp with two 3 way front speakers with 12 inch inch woofers, two 2 way rear speakers with 8 inch woofers and a JBL 2 way speaker in the center with a 5 inch woofer and titanium tweeter. Also had the 4 speakers from the Sony TV on too. No subwoofer needed. Cutting edge then. Cranked as loud as possible without the neighbors complaining. Love that theme.

Met Jeff backstage at Pinecrest (Connecticut; August 1976) after a fantastic Beck/Hammer Live outdoor gig. The only topic of conversation was his excitement to the upcoming fall leg where he was to selectively co-bill w/Tommy Bolin (Teaser-Nemporer/Private Eyes-CBS). Unfortunately Tommy passed away at his hotel after their opening date in Miami on Dec 4, 1976 as I recall. Two kindred souls with mutual respect. Tommy was also related to Jan from the Spectrum (Billy Cobham) sessions.

@@chrisstrobel3439 Miami Vice was an hour of escapism per week. It’s not how I live my life. I’m living so as to be rich toward God, whether I die tonight or not, seeking to love my neighbor and use my resources for good. Not out of fear of punishment, but willingly. Your fear mongering is a manipulative technique of the flesh and the world, and the reason I left evangelical culture.

Saw these two guys back in 1976 when the album "Blow by Blow" came out. They were on fire! Jan was at the top of his game. Jeff blowed the house down! The best live show I've ever seen.... Glad I got to see these two in their hay day. I still listen to this album. The only other live show that came close to this kind of energy was Thomas Dolby with the lost toy people in 1988. "Aliens ate my Buick" tour. I'm a keyboard player from the 80's. Jan Hammer @ Thomas Dolby are my hero's. Jeff Beck was from another world, rip brother.

Wired was my introduction to Jan and Jeff. I had heard Randy Rhoads was a fan so i went "back" and dove into Jeff's catalog. This album was a good price so i bought it. Many spins on this album getting my guitar chops in line. Playing along with it.

💖 My Favorite 2 musicians of all time! Love you Jan Hammer and Jeff Beck!!! I saw you two play together in the 1980s at the ARMS benefit in San Francisco (I think Simon Phillips was on drums?) Totally Epic!!! No disrespect to Eric Clapton or Jimmy Page, but you guys stole the show! Still one of my favorite concerts of all time, even after all these decades. PS I happen to see you rehearsing with Montrose at the rehearsal studios in San Francisco near Stars Guitars back in the 80s (where the Moscone Convention Center is now). *correction: Sorry Jan, but I think it was actually Mitchell Froom who I saw rehearsing with Ronnie Montrose :) Sending you much Love and appreciation for the beautiful music 💗

Great sound! Great comp! Great chops! These two men take me back to the 60's @ age 8 when I first heard "Heart Full of Soul" from the album, "Rave Up With The Yardbirds." And then in the 70's @ age 15 when I first heard Jan on "Birds of Fire." That album changed the whole direction of my musical life (even though I was a classical violinist through my career). And I stayed loyal to both artists through the years always hearing new and creative musical journeys.
