I am in no way a Calvinist, however, I do love the ministry of Apologia Church and the Cultish Podcast. I love how RU-vid gives people a platform to give their opinion, but sometimes people's opinions are wrong because they don't do their homework. At least Jeff and the boys are actually doing what the Bible says to in preaching the Gospel and sticking up for the life of the unborn. What are you doing? Are you doing the great commission? Or are you a keyboard troll? Keep up the good work guys!

The most important thing I've learned when trying to articulate a legitimate criticism of someone's position, is that you MUST articulate their position in a way that they recognise it. If they do not recognise the position you articulate, they also will not recognise the criticism of it.

I consider you guys to be my pastors away from my pastor because I am a truck driver.

Its pathetic for those claiming to be in the body of Christ to attack other members like this and engage in public gossip and slander like the World does. The Apostle Paul would have banged their heads together. Doctrine is always up for discussion but slander is shameful.

Do you think that Gods ultimate authority of my geographical location concerning attending a local church every week is more important than the Bible’s word about keeping my family safe from false teachings? I only ask because I have recently relocated to a small town and I am concerned about some of the teachings I am hearing from the local church authorities. Fellowship is important to me but proper bible doctrine I think is more important. Any honest advice would be very helpful. Thank you for what you have been doing with your channel. As often discussed, what does "evangelical" even mean anymore? It is mostly a political term IMO, not a theological position.

An old friend of mine always said we cant find a church, then he said going to church thinking its christian, is like sitting in the garage thinking your a car! Another friend in the Netherlands said she finally found a church and for the next weeks posted videos of church service but looked likea disco!! Never heard anything how the message was! Now years later she said she is still practicing but not church

How much do you think the issue with this questionnaire has to do with it being a "self identifying" evangelical designation? If people who don't attend church often and don't read the Bible answered the questionnaire as an Evangelical person then they would sceew the results. It would still be an indication of the issues with the over all society.

Hi Jeff, love your show, but I want to point out that in this survey, it was presented as a survey on Evangelicals, but that is NOT the case. It is a survey on Christians, of all faiths (including Catholics, Mainline Protestants, and Black Protestants.) If you go to the Data Explorer at the upper-right, you can then go through each question by question and filter the responses by sex, age, Ethnicity and Faith. If you choose "Evangelicals" from the faith filter, things get much better, but sadly, not as good as they should be. Just wanted you know. Love you brother! Keep up the amazing work.

If you read the comments Jeff, I'd like your input on what I'm saying here. On statement number 20 @ 1:05. So, what does Jesus say..."For where two or three have gathered together in My name, there I am in their midst." Is that Church according to your standards? Or is that Church according to Christ's standards? It would seem to me that, according to Jesus, the only numerical value he places on it is a minimum of two. I mean you can't really "gather" as a single person. Now I am not saying that Church in the common era in terms of large numbers of people gathering together to worship is wrong, but, to suggest that small, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 etc., person groups can't be effective worship, flies immediately, and obviously, in the face of what Jesus taught in Matthew 18.

My church is not meeting together physically because of corona. So how can we obey that scripture if our pastor says no you can't because of corona.

Regarding your interactions with the hosts to "Messiah Matters", I lovingly encourage you to schedule a time where you have discussions with them directly. I watch both programs and find each to be helpful in my own observations. I find each of your groups to be followers of our Lord and think any differences could be resolved through graceful interaction.

Can you blame them for lack of knowledge. Even those who go to church are taught worldly things about how they can have the blessings of God with no faith. All of the churchs which are large teach the same message. No substance. Can you be surprised people don't know.. but remember God is not a liar his elect will come to saving knowledge and his elect will be given the truth.

My only thing is... if you going to talk about the end times. Don’t have it be a casual conversation EVERYTIME. And if you don’t read revelation. Just admit it and don’t discuss it. Because if you keep just forming your opinion then it will still influence others because people look up to you and your thoughts. If I was forming my opinion, I would have less effect on others compared to you because my status isn’t as big as yours.

That Trinity symbol, looking like what Led Zeppelin's basist, John Paul Jones uses (except with a circle cutting through it)….it's not an OCCULT symbol. I know that Christians started using it, but it was based on Germanic gods and such before Christ. Found in Celtic art also. To be fair.. it's not always easy to find a pastor who's doctrine can be agreed with. The first pastor a believer has is Christ - without whom, we can't know truth nor find a good local "pastor" - others are also not able to attend a local church for various reasons. (Work, health) If we can, we should but it's not an absolute "Sin" (destructive, unhealthy, rebellion) if a person cant.

I can tell you guys that your video's maked a Postmillennialist out of me. It just makes sence! The problem now for me is..... Try to find a church in Belgium preaching what you preach. So i am going to studdy theolegy en if it is Gods will i will start a church in Belgium. a lot of questions that cannot be answered otherwise have been answered by your sermons. I am the pastor in my family and as such I have the right to administer the sacraments to my family. We are members of a local church and when we cannot make it, we do church at home. However, there is no problem with home churches.

Calvinists believe only a select group of people go to heaven that Jesus Christ didn’t die on the cross for EVERYONE only a select group.

IDK how y'all understand Jesus doesn't return until after a millennium? when does that millennium begin? Which millennium? We've had the first 1000 since Jesus rose again ... we're closing fast on the 2nd ... which I understand is VERY relevant. God took 6 days to create the universe then rested on the 7th. A day is like a thousand years. We've had almost 6000 years of human history. the last millennium will be under Jesus' direct reign. I understand from Daniel, Ezekiel, Revelation, Genesis ... Jesus' Second Coming will happen on time ... just like His birth. None know the day nor the hour, but with equal clarity, Jesus ALSO said we'd know the season. Jesus said He has told us all things in advance ... so That Day will not overtake us like a thief. We don't have another thousand years ... we have 5-6 more years. Some say they can know the 3 month window (season) ... perhaps ... but my previous references, with the hindsight of the last 2500 years and the leading/guiding/understanding from the Holy Spirit ... we are the "terminal generation." Unless called home individually, those younger than approximately 65 will SEE the sign of the Son of Man in the sky announcing the RETURN of the King of kings. Like the Hebrews were not "taken out" of the plagues upon Egypt, but were protected IN IT, The Church will be pursued by the dragon ... Satan. And the Overcomers will be receiving the outpouring of the Holy Spirit such as never been before. it'll be the closest experience mankind has had with God Himself since Adam and Eve pre rebellion. Gonna have a lot of beheadings, too, of those double-minded believers. We can thank islam for that contribution to the pending one-world government. worshipping an idol will immediately result in beheading. As an atheist I have to say that the because of Jeff Durbin being a martial artist means that he likes to have a theological battle is a complete strawman and has no grounding in reality, I used to be a martial artist myself many years ago and absolutely loved the fighting side of them but I actually disliked street fighting immensely, just because you enjoy something in one part of your life does not mean it translates to all aspects of your life. The guys are obviously taking cheap shots here Jeff and yes if you are going to discuss or argue theology then there is absolutely no need to such tactics to try and discredit your credibility, obviously even though I think you are wrong about a lot of things it is very clear that you are extremely passionate in your religious views and truly believe them.

The physical and the spiritual practises of these 2 are not divideable...you can't take the physical practise and rename it something pure. I saw a great video about this. We cannot serve 2 masters, many are following you and you are in your actions telling people it's fine to hang onto whatever they idolise in the world...how can you hang onto this idolatry while calling out the sins of others? How can a homosexual give up his deepest desires if you won't even let go of the things you like doing. Please consider what I'm saying...any new age/eastern or spiritual practises that are not in the bible is idolatry and is not putting the Lords will as highest priority...anything we cling to and cannot let go of is serving 2 masters. The ONE body in Christ is the church.... there are many places in todays world where people with little as 2 people worship because believing in Jesus will get your head chopped off, and anyone who studies the history of the church will understand "churches" were in the homes where few people gathered at a time to worship... in todays world we have man made buildings where most of the time the one preaching is contradicting scripture due to man made religions, many of them off the same bible... God can hear you pray in your closest and be happy with such just as much if you were in a church with 100 people... sorry brother your wrong on that one..
