They pick and choose what they think his okay it's a basis of thinking they can be forgiven. You are correct that willful sinning is not grounds for automatic forgiveness.

@Judith Riley the bible simply has nothing to do with the pro life view (as a whole though it may for some individuals). The reason why abortion should be illegal is that 1.it should always be illegal to kill born children, because they are humans who deserve rights 2. It is a scientific fact that life begins at conception 3. Therefore, if we belive in equal rights then abortion should be illegal (just like killing born children)
