As a former elder most Jehovah’s Witnesses do not realize that the three steps involved in resolving a problem in Matthew chapter 18 involve cases that can be resolved by individuals within the congregation. These would involve matters such as fraud or slander. Serious sins such a fornication would always be handled by the elders. Child abuse is not only a sin…it is a crime and that being the case the police should always be notified. I was recently assaulted by my oldest son who was living with me. After I informed him that I had a letter from my attorney telling him to vacate by a certain date, he got angry and assaulted me. I called the police immediately and he spent five days in jail and is now on probation with a no contact order. The court supplied me with resources for support and recovery. If I was still an active JW and went to the elders, they probably would have told me to pray more. The judicial system is in place to professionally handle cases of abuse…not the elders.
That's good if you ever get all the brainwashing away and realize that the scriptures depend on interpretation and interpretation is the devil's favorite tool which is why Muslims use and Christians all worship the god of Abraham the child sacrificing God. Then and then you'll be like a woman who has gotten herself out of an abusive relationship and be ready for your Divine birthright to be able to influence your future through your heart and mind you have to put them on the same path. I was a young immature Elder for 2 years and had it. Elder body facilitated a pervert MS who's Parents ran a daycare for JW Kids. Fondled my friends 2 Kids ( 2 witness rule?) Law Enforcement and NY Bethel on my phone. Law Enforcement was embarrassed @ the cow town favoritism with this pervert. Holy Spirit appointment? I woke up. My Kids successful and strong. Enjoying my GKids and no CSA in our circle.
I’m glad I came across these videos in particular. Your mother is so kind and reminds me of my mother who I loss during Covid. My mother was a 50 year regular pioneer and passed away refusing a blood transfusion. I’m still pissed off about that and the way the elders made me jump through hoops to have her memorial services. I knew I was DONE with the meetings at the kingdom hall when I watched a talk by an elder in American sign language (the then service overseer in that congregation), end his talk with this: "You want to live forever? You must support them" talking about the governing body of that organization. Those men are the writers of their own press release, and their publicity agents are the elders all over this world as well as the other millions of John Q Witness who haven't the courage to say, "The Emperor has no clothes."
I know my cousin, who I am staying with and a JW is thinking about some things. This is proof of answered prayer. ( I praise You Jesus) we were watching this show called Tracker, ( I would encourage anyone who has the ability to pull up last weeks show ( I think it aired on 2/15/24) to watch it and see the similarities) . He has an encounter with a cult that asks him questions, puts him in a place where he questions his own life and thoughts and uses some forms of manipulation and control. I was watching her face ( she sat looking at the TV and I sat off to the side so I could see her face). I know the Lord can use all forms of enlightenment ( and so can Satan) but God wins. I do have a question though, hopefully I can get in touch with you somehow. But where do the JWs believe they will be when the old heave and earth pass away. I hear her talk about being in the new Kingdom but is she suppose to service Armageddon?
I remember my last meeting. I got physically ill listening to what was being said. I had stuck around for a few months after finding out about Watchtower but that meeting was the breaking point. JWs kind of got the Trinity right, and probably soul sleep too, but more because immortal soul reuniting with a body and three in one doesn't make a lot of common sense (as they can easily make fun of the Church calling such things mysteries) so they just stumbled into those ones. Pretty much the rest of JW teachings are total and absolute nonsense but after being gone for 28 years i still kind of miss the feeling of having the world at my feet and feeling superior to everyone else. I'm still working on dismissing that feeling because it's made me very suspect of normal groups, as if they're also cults. I went to sobriety meetings some years ago and kind of felt a JW vibe and i had to tell myself this isn't a cult, we just subscribe to a few basic ideas, but it was still difficult. After a while i got to lead some of the meetings and i would often ditch the script and even say a few things that weren't exactly upholding the groups beliefs, like i told one guy if he smokes pot a couple of times a month that isn't so bad. Anyway it's pretty cool how all former JWs have really interesting stories
The next time a JW spokesman or individual witness or elder tries to defend their "2 or 3 witness" rule; open up this scripture and read it to them: Because even in the "second law re-reading" of the book of Deuteronomy; Moses reinforced this rule that Jehovah understood would in some cases, occur: Deuter. 22: 25-27 stated in essence that in the case of a virgin who was raped "in the field" or woods; out of earshot and sight of others; then the man who attacked and violated her would be PUT TO DEATH ON HER TESTIMONY ALONE! The "2 witness" rule would not apply in this case! It's obviously the same case of when a child; male or female is abused, and they later relate the accusation! If you're going to use the Old Law Covenant to support your Christian view; then don't pick only the parts that support your twisted views! Appreciate the candor of this fine lady; who like me, for 55 years in my life; did I drink their hypocritical "Kool-Aid"!
This video series really lays out most of the reasons so many of us have woke up. While there are a lot of those matters I'd like to expound on; I liked your comment about the Society buying up the Kingdom Halls. This point always irritated me, and we were told it was to make better use of the existing buildings; filling up the seats and consolidating congregations. But after viewing so many ex-JW and other research sites from PIMO's still in the organization; it had become apparent that the Society was being sued at so many of their branch offices around the world because of their un-Christian and inhumane practices, that they needed the money gained from the sale of the KH's to pay for legal costs and fines! The underlying reason why congregations were being clustered together was because SO MANY WERE WAKING UP AND LEAVING! The numbers are declining in the organization DESPITE THE LIES THEY ARE TELLING YOU FROM THE VIDEO BROADCAST CHANNEL! Especially since the Covid hoax era; and the Kool-Aid the Society drank from the propaganda being spewed out the "health agencies"! Thousands, including myself, have seen through the deceptions and came to the stark realization that by the governing body compelling the org's members to take the "shot", they had become bloodguilty and responsible for the deaths and disabilities of thousands of their own members!! And those that didn't succumb to their parroting the words of the 2-horn Wild Beast that ascends out of the earth", the "False Prophet" described in Revelation 13: could see the hypocrisy and their deception and obvious scriptural stupidity and negligence! I've visited several congregations in the last year, after moving to a new area, and couldn't believe how many empty seats there were EVEN AFTER THIS CONSOLIDATION AND SELL OFF OF KINGDOM HALLS! And when I got their digital meeting codes on Zoom.us; there were as many viewing the meeting online as there were in the Kingdom Halls! Many are waking up!

I was born and raised Catholic … Baptized with a sprinkle of water over my ne 8:59 w born head! Going to school 8:59 never learned a thing 8:59 there … but praying to statues, whom they made saints! That’s forbidden in the Bible! Back then I was sure only God almighty can make saints? I still think that! We only studied the Catholic Cathechism… made by the Catholic Church, when I first went to a Kingdom Hall… a light bulb came on! I found the TRUTH OF the 8:59 BIBLE! 😊❤ praise Jah!

I enjoyed your videos. I could sense your honesty and compassion throughout. I trust you opened your heart to Jesus and allowed him to come in. He is the door to salvation, and there is no other way. Thank God you did see the light, and the error of the JW religion. So many are still held in the grip of their falsehood and refuse to listen to anyone or anything apart from the watchtower.
Yes I opened my heart to Jesus. And prayed to his Father and mine that my thoughts about leaving the organization would not dishonor Him. I prayed that many times during the full year I was researching and upset with what was happening in the organization . Finally I concluded that the organization was dishonoring the Father.
I could be wrong (and I’m not going to search for it to confirm), but I understand Jackson to say: it would SEEM very presumptuous. Quite a different implication; in other words, he was saying that to non jws such an attitude would seem presumptuous, but not to the wt and its simps (membership). I’m an exjw so I’m very familiar with the WT’s representatives way of not answering a direct question, or misdirecting the discussion by answering a question not asked and pretending to have answered the question actually posed. I understand what you’re saying about answering a question with out answering it or using some form of manipulation in the conversation. I watched a show called Tracker the other night, ( I believe it aired 2/15/24) not sure about that date though, but it was very similar in that the guy was trying to rescue another guy who had been sucked into a cult and was convinced ( or told ) he was happy where he was within their command. Then they tried the same thing on the Tracker guy ( his name in the show is Colton) by using childhood experiences that they looked up on him and were telling him caused him to have a twisted way of thinking and that their way ( of salvation or the like) was a better and truthful choice. My cousin who is in Ada JW, neck deep, had a twisted childhood. I can clearly see how someone could look for salvation in a group that has convinced her their way is the better way and she needs to obey them and not look anywhere else.
@@Hischild8257 In my case, I was a raised-in jw, and as I’ve learned, the age from birth to about 7 years is the period of subconsciously formatting how a child will think/behave; for an adult of normal intelligence, it’s a different process, a different sort of manipulation, at which the wt is very proficient 😂… By the way, what’s “Ada JW”?
Oh my goodness! Your mom is the ONLY ONLY!!! Other person I have ever heard mention the ridiculousness of their no denim rule! I thought I was the only one who took exception to this!! My spiritually widowed mom who was financially poor poor poor..... she made her own clothes. She loved denim. She never felt good about how she looked, yet she felt good in her denim skirts she made for herself. And then........ "they" had the whole talk on the pamphlet on how to dress when visiting Bethel. Specifically NO DENIM! She was devastated. As a good Christian woman she now felt she would be making Jehovah's heart sad, she didn't want to be a cause for "stumbling" if she kept wearing her 'rebellious' fabric..... It's seared into my mind how sad my mom (who battled depression already) became over such a pety rule. She couldn't afford to replace her clothes. Truly..... 😢 arrrrgh!! I was so sickened for her. My husband and I helped purchase some clothes for her, but it wasn't the same for her, you know? My devote mom..... 💔 And of course there was no compensation, from the org to care for this widow's new need due to the new rule. Tho the scriptures are so so clear that widows, orphans and the poor she have their needs taken care of. She fit all 3 of those boxes! This is just one of many many many things that caused me to leave the org. My mom passed away before I left, I like to think, like your mom, she would have followed me to freedom too. My husband who was so abused by his elder father I was never raised to witness my husband was he had a bad accident 2015 and even though for years probably 30 years had never had anything to do with watchtower when he had his accident the doctor said if he doesn’t have a blood transfusion he’ll be dead in two hours before I could even say anything. My husband said I would rather be dead so fast forward about five years I started researching watch tower and my husband kept saying I don’t wanna know don’t wanna hear don’t show it until I came upon the Australian royal commission and I said to him if you watch this, we will never have to speak it again and he watched about a half an hour and then shut it off.I was wow that didn’t go well and I said to him because I love history. I can’t believe they lied about history. You know 607 BC nowhere near the fall of Jerusalem, and he said I don’t care about any of that. He said all I care about is I will never support an organization that protects the paedophile over the child that was raped never.

Your mother is an amazingly dear woman. After 61 years, you can see that the vocabulary and default meek attitude has been hard to shake, just like for all of us.
