Very good video. I love it when young people wake up and come out of the WT. They still have their life ahead of them, unlike myself who wasted over 60 years of my life in the WT. Thank you Lady Cee for your hard work in exposing this false organization.

Thanks for another great experience, Lady Cee, and thanks for showing what a judgmental organization this is. Those idiots are stumbling their own people right out of the religion. Gosh the more you hear those stories the more you dislike them.

I so relate with her saying that physically she was provided for by her parent, yet mentally and emotionally she wasn't provided for growing up JW. It was all about meetings, service, and prep.

I am very impressed by Deneira. She is strong and confident. Its hard to believe she only left "the truth" eight months ago. Demeira should sent that circuit overseer a thank you letter because he did her a BIG favor. God works in mysterious ways!

They juice out all your resources and yet you're still not enough....

Great interview and I love how towards the end she mentioned that the organization is just like being in an abusive relationship...."There is no where else you can go...." "Where else can you go"...."No one else is going to love you like we love you"...So true, and never feeling like you're doing enough or good enough.....very abusive.

Fantastic interview!!! I must admit I was particularly proud when I heard Demeira say my brother's name, Marcus Vaughn. Although I was already disfellowshipped when he helped me to wake up. Without him I may sill be harboring the ingrained mindset that the organization instills on its followers. I'm so thankful to have been open-minded enough to really hear and listen to the insight he gained at Bethel about the truth about the JWs.

I really appreciate the thought expressed here by Demeira (49:45) "I have learned to do my research before I get involved with ANYTHING". Even removing this thought from the context of being a former JW, this concept is such a valuable approach to living a successful life. Well done. Demeira is sharing VERY valuable and hard-won life lessons in this interview.

I'm with you there. Physically, economically, I was well provided for, but in terms of emotional and moral issues, and even guidance for future goals....not great. BRAVO for going to college!!!!

this was very good. I grew JW and fortunately my grandmother who raised me did not push me into it to get baptized. she said as long as me and my brother and I lived with her (my parents got divorced and we were sent to live with her)we had to go to KH and field service but she never pushed us for baptism. but the elders and CO were trying to get me to baptized because Armageddon was coming soon (this was the 80's) and higher education wouldn't not be needed. Glad i didn't listen because 30 plus years later with a BA degree at 52, and still no end of the world. I can only imagine where I would be if my grandmother pushed me. I am so glad she had the discernment not to. she told me I had to make it my own when I got older. so when I was moved out on my own I didn't join the church. you see when I read the Bible and listened to the elders stuff didn't make sense!. nor did I believe that only JW would survive Armageddon. tgise seeds if doubt kept me out.. crazy just crazy!

Well, its a good thing that she ranked in the bottom tier of the JW Inc sales praise-team conversion metrics, to not get a promotion. She may have never found out that Watchtower is the "Worlds Most Successful Network Marketing Company" . As far as Watchtower see's it , it ain't personal, it's just business.

WOW! Great interview and she is telling TRUTH! After all the work she did, time she spent and the sacrifices she made to be a pioneer, she DESERVED that qualification regardless of whether or not she had active bible studies! Glad she woke up too!

When I was in public school,. I didn't want my friends to meet my parents. I thought that they might start preaching to them and that would be embarrassing. So, I was careful not to let my friends meet up with my parents. The worldly kids parents were always cool. My parents were far from it. They were just Jehovah Witnessess through and through. Nothing else mattered to them. Only how many watchtower magazines you "placed". How many meetings you went to. If you raised your hand to read off the answers that were in that watchtower magazine often enough. Then there were the home Bible studies at people's homes. That was like just going to another meeting. That was about as much fun as having covid-19. I so wished my parents would be like the other kids parents. But, they weren't, so I just tried not to let anyone from school meet them. Teachers included. But, I was patient, as difficult as that was. I knew that I would get away someday. Finally, I did. I was free. For me, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I thought that it would be much worse. Once you get away, I don't think you can ever get involved with any cult ever again. You become very wary. Very suspicious. If another religion tries to get you hooked. Red flags fly up right away. Like if they say the words, Bible study. I immediately shut them down.

I’m just coming across this video. I must say it relates to some of the things that I experienced growing up in a JW household. My mother never talked to me about puberty. And when I went to another family member to discuss such things my mom became upset with me and said I’m only to come to her because she is my mother. I later found out that my mother had me as a teenager and really didn’t know how to talk to me about puberty since no one talked to her about it. And the small amount of information that we received from the watchtower was more than what I was getting from my family.

At my house, we had a study for my kids, and we also studied in uplifting studies with a few couples. There are different things in every group.

Sounds like the pioneer school is just held out as a carrot. Surprising the criteria is not spelled out like a check list so people would know before going to all the trouble to plan for it, just to be turned down on a technicality.

I'm glad ☺️😌 I have an open mind and look at all things asking my BIG WHY???? questions about stuff that doesn't make sense and keep asking till I'm satisfied I do my homework and research the world and how people think and feel about stuff is important to REALISE that there's many ways not just 1. Which is so RESTRICTED it ruined my life and grieve 4 how different my life could have been my experiences unfortunately shaped me and I'll never know what I could have been I've lost everything thnx 4ur channel so enlightening

I loved how she stated she learned how to deal with people of all backgrounds. The WT boasts that we love people of all races which is true but we only learn how to deal with other JW, when around other people of higher intellect we tend to shy alway from them or think we’re better than other because they’re not JW. I had to learn how to share my space with other people and actually get along with others because as a JW, many come off as arrogant.

what I find interesting is that she spent seven years pioneering and got not one bible study. what? no one interested in joining a cult? what a surprise.

This is a good interview. Glad she found a good career, now days they are even telling people not to even pursue goals but to only pioneer in almost hall meetings and every assembly, especially in magazines, even a trade is getting to be not encourage.

I remember when I was in school I was always asked WHEN I was going to pioneer. I Hage that it so expected. But having a degree even an associate degree will open to more career opportunities

maybe something to help soften the "blow" of disappointment is remember WE ARE ALL KIDS FROM 2 TO 92"

No one can love you as Jesus loves you and proved His love by dying for you, this is where your new life begins in Christ Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life, He's a close as the mention of His name. for the first time I realize the hold that they have over my sister and her husband who are j.w.'s. I also see that she is afraid of them. I was on the phone with her when elders stopped by, and she went into a panic saying, Oh no. Oh no their here, I've got to go, I've got to go and I could hear the fear in her voice that if everything was not perfect according to their desires she would be in trouble, I felt sorry for her that she had given any one this much power over her.

27:56 SKE applicants are screened the same way that MTS applicants were screened. I know this as I am a MTS graduate. If you did not meet the qualifications and were not exemplary in the field service, the circuit overseer would not forward your application for approval.

@25:52 just some clarification: In 2010 the Ministerial Training School (equivalent of Watchtower Bible School of Gilead) was renamed the Bible School for Single Brothers, and a new school was formed, the Bible School for Christian Couples. Starting in the 2015 service year, those two schools were combined, forming the School for Kingdom Evangelizers. - The Watchtower, March 2017. SKE is the 2nd School open to single sisters.

Makes me think of my situation and a host of other things. You spend time in your 20's and 30's and the CO ALWAYS has a reason why you're not appointed MS, but you're spending alllll your time on the Organization . Not living my life, but letting other people live your life. Like her....same thing. You eventually stop caring. Whatever field service you did....dropped off. Comnenting.....stopped doing my magazines. Eventually when I made the move to foreign language...the fade really started. After you give your all, you began to sliwly ,but surely check out. I went to foreign language thinking I could go there and perhaps make a good impression on the brothers and be used...but wound up fading fast

I can say with relative certainty that the SKE Bible Study requirement IS legit. I know many, many graduates of SKE, including close relatives. It’s a corporation...

If ever the word ,FREE is used ask why I feel like they tout 4the vulnerable and the tentacles that try 2reel you in if you make a definite stand 2 live how you choose don't matter 2them a very wearing cult it's the TRUTH

It also seems they dont explain their own beliefs of theology to their young ones, why they dont celebrate the holidays, birthdays, saluting the flag, etc. They have to stand up against all the bullying or weird looks just because they are a JW.

ive been out for years...if you dont want to follow the rules leave...dont spoil it for those who still do. its like you guys want to save someone left behind. its not a contract jw is a club. you either get kicked out or u had enough and leave blame your parents if you want just dont do it to your kids. break the cycle and find the love of Jesus john 3:16.
