When the budget was there this show had some of the most beautiful animation and amazing technical tricks. The animation planning and production staff deserves some serious props.
@@Eric_Malbos Do you know if there is any online resource where there are like...staff credits for each episode? I mean I can pretty much guess by the style of each episode, but it would be cool to know the names of the people involved in individual episodes especially animation wise.
I loved this show as a kid. I really think if they remastered this show, little kids today would still love it. Music, drama, awesome coloured hair and makeup - it had it all!
They at one point reaired the show when the hub was still a thing was one of their top shows. They sadly can't reboot the show due to an issue with production companies
They had a good crew of professional songwriters and musicians who had to come up with at least two songs in each of the 83 episodes, all about two minutes long, and all had to be catchy. A real challenge for ANY songwriter. This show had its share of cheese in it but you've got to respect the work that went into it.
They never could. Until Clash wasn't seen anymore after the episode Video Wars, where her cousin, Video, showed the footage of the Misfits causing trouble for the Holograms at every turn The Misfits turned their backs on her after getting embarrassed and humiliated. As for where Clash is after that, no one knows.
@@colinmulder6806 It was 2011 when Jem was on The Hub, actually. Managed to get the episodes on tape I never got on tape the first time around. Episodes like Culture Clash, Adventure in China, and my favorite two-part episode, The Talent Search.
Right when it starts, I immediately thought that it has that 'Stingers' style. Seriously, all you have to do is use the background with Stingers vocals and it would sound legit.
There's just no way a show like this could have not had an episode where someone dresses up as the protagonist and does bad things to make her look bad.
Yeah, I totally agree. I think the "Dear Diary" video was one the most beautifully animated videos as well, especially the scenes of Jem spinning on the dais. That video is one of my faves also because it focuses on Kimber, my favorite character on Jem. I love the ignorant comments here. This show came out in the mid 80s. Most of the people commenting weren't even born then! This show was cutting edge for a cartoon of that time. I was there, it was great! Youngsters go play Pokémon please!

I wasn't born in the 80s no I was born in 92 but grew up watching 89s cartoons and you know what I never really bashed animations because I loved it 80s style 80s movies 80s cartoons I loved them all pretty much even if I wasn't born then I can really appreciate it and jem to me was animated really well when I saw it with my sister
Ok I'm confused in the song who is the kissing and many other songs we see Jem's eyes are blue and when she's not Jem her eye color is still blue but why is her eyes like purple in this one also I love this song it's a bop
I do believe somewhere through the 65 episode run someone decided to give Jem (in holo garb) a set of purple eyes different from Jerrica's normal blues...
This song is moderately good: good music , good backup. The only problem is the lyrics ,they are a bit simplistic : maybe Jem should have say more about who is the real her.

But what I meant is that Jem should have said that she liked to sing or that she had a double life or how much she loved her boyfriend or something else... It seems to me it isn't complicated to speak about this kind of stuff in one or two sentences.
I was listening to this on a playlist with the browser minimized and when this song started, I thought it was a Stingers song! I had to check to be sure.
