Ain't more true. We're at a stage where everyone is secretly thirsting to understand how other people around the world are having it and it's the best when there's a common context through which relate, here it being skateboarding.
What a beautiful video, he is one of the greatest in my opinion. I met Madars like 5 years ago when he came to Argentina ,we had a session together in a park and he was so nice to me and my friends! He knew a lilttle bit of spanish because he told me he lived in Spain a couple of years. I'll never forget that day!
He’s a likeable, humble guy. His series reminds me of Anthony Bourdain’s show in some ways. Very glad to see his head is with his family and Country. A great role model for todays kids.

For a country of less than two million inhabitants to have produced both a skateboarder and a blader of the year speaks volume about the kind of scene it offers. And for a small town like Ventspils, to host what was once one of the biggest action sports event in Europe, also says a lot. Latvian people shine through not only talent and creativity, but also great humility. Madars is a great example and positive influence, thanks for taking the time to check in with him and visit the Baltics! Now that you've been, you might not be surprised to hear that Latvia is the kind of place you end up going back to, indeed.

Madars Apse is what every skater should strive to be and accomplish. Travel the world, see different cultures, help grow skateboarding as a whole and yes make sponsors happy why because they are the ones who let you skate for a living!
