I loved the two designers you featured in this episode. So vastly different in terms of their passion, from complex stitched garments to equally complex toys. What amazing imaginations they have to dream up these creations just for us! ❤

The crocheted animals had me smiling while watching. Never cared for the toys, but I got a request years ago to make a poodle from a Red Heart pattern. After making it, I loved it! Never made another because I stopped crocheting due to a wrist injury so I changed back to knitting. Never really saw any other animal projects that enticed me since till now. Thanks for having her as a guest.

I’m not a crochet person, and don’t want to start a new hobby, but I love the designs and skill you and your guests have shared. I think we “fiber-folks” love this amazing talent pool you share with us. Once again, a beautiful show. Your colour search resulted in the most perfect combination. I appreciate the tips you have on getting the right fit, including putting aside the cardigan until Madeleine is home, as well as the possible chore of ripping back. Such a lesson in quality knitting. I hope people become Patreon subscribers. For the cost on a special coffee a month, we get such quality.

Agree with everything you say. I've found myself becoming more open minded and curious about new techniques, designs and designers. Like you, I'm not super drawn to crochet, though I can crochet... but I was absolutely fascinated by Megan's segment. That's happened to me over and over since I subscribed to this podcast and to Fruity Knitting's patreon community. Totally worth every penny.

Loved this episode! Can't wait to try a Jennifer Wood pattern. As always I enjoyed seeing Andrew and Andrea's work, too. I am in a life transition right now but hope to be able to start supporting your show and several other podcasts I watch on a regular basis soon. And thank you to all the viewers who are currently supporting Fruity Knitting and other podcasts. You not only make it possible for these shows to continue, but also make them available to those of us who can't quite budget for the financial support. I don't know what I'd do without vlogs, blogs and podcasts. The crochet segment really hit home with me. I have just finished a two month assignment teaching crochet squares while also creating a crocheted undersea scene. This will all culminate in a yarn bombing event supporting the NGO education program that is sponsoring the event. So, I was really feeling those fantastic creatures! I have just started using crochet without patterns to make 3-D objects. I hope I can come up with some ideas half as good in the future. Thanks for presenting all these fiber artists. It is a pleasure to learn about all their amazing work.

I actually came over from Crafty Intentions Facebook page in an attempt to know more about her and her designs. I just want to comment as a fellow entrepreneur on your not wanting to make a behind the scenes video... we have a saying in the computer game space. No one wants to see how the sausage actually gets made. Your video is really informative, well edited and your guests are delightful. I have always been a fan of fiber arts though I learned basic crochet from my mother. My grandmother used to make amazing Irish lace and my mother made children's toys and purses with crochet. Thank you for an enjoyable time and the wonderful hosting.

@jsorensens2
@jsorensens2 5 лет назад
Wow, what an episode! First Andrea, your pullover is absolutely gorgeous! The colors and fit are sublime. When you lifted your arm, at one point, I watched to see if the whole sweater lifted up with it, and it didn't. Your skills are amazing. I have swimmer's shoulders so I can never find tops to fit me in stores. The armholes are always gigantic in ready-to-wear tops to accommodate my big shoulders and large biceps and then the chest area is way too big for my tiny bust. When I watch how you custom fit your garments it is inspiring. One day I will have the time to try to fit for my body. (I work long hours full-time and don't have much time to knit, so this is a "one day" wish.) Second, Jennifer was fantastic. So inspiring and creative. Third, Megan was very impressive. Fourth, the story of your childhood was charming. Fifth, Andrew is such a great guy! He always makes me laugh! I love his humor. Thank you once again for a great episode. I am happy to be a patreon and I hope that everyone who watches, (binge watchers... I'm talking to you) puts their money where their interest is ... in you!
