The walls actually came tumbling down so that each Israelite soldier could climb up into the city of Jericho. This EVENT of the walls tumbling outward all around the city is a MIRACLE. An earthquake could not do this. Actually I can't think of any physical event that could cause the walls to fall outward all around the city to make a ramp for invaders to walk up on. Here archeological excavation PROVES a miracle happened. Here at Jericho there is PROOF of a Biblical miracle of God. All the other details of full grain jars not taken but burned with the rest of the city is shown to be true by the digs. Obviously/absolutely the Israelites and Joshua were there conquered the city as recorded in the Bible. The dig evidence absolutely proves that they were there and conquered and burned Jericho. This miracle of God is PROVEN by archeology. As far as I know, it is the only event where archeology proves that a miracle of God took place.
