The Kachina was approved by local Hopi and Navajo leaders, being based on the geometric shapes of the Hopi kachina dolls (specifically depictions of the trickster God coyote) and art, and the collar/waist and sleeve pattern based on Navajo trade blankets. It pays major homage to the unique flavors of the Arizona southwest. That's why its so loved here. Being probably the best logo used in the valley. It may look weird to people, but WE love it and that's what's important.

If only that coyote was shown on peyote then again maybe he is. Legendary jersey. I Used to clown that jersey in the 90’s now love it.

I miss the Yotes wearing those and the Diamondbacks wearing the purple and teal. Such unique colors for both leagues.

I doubt it happens, but I hope Seattle names their team the Totems after the old WHL team and allows a local indigenous artist to design the logo and jerseys. Not only would it pay homage to the team that played against the Canucks and almost joined the NHL, but it would also pay tribute to local communities the right way (unlike something like the Cleveland Indians' cartoon logo) .

The floating coyote head in the sky comment reminded me of Homer Simpson on his pepper trip lol. But in all seriousness I always liked the old Coyotes jerseys. I'm not sure why they just were always more appealing to me.

I like them all! I have an original Kachina style away jersey (also first AZ away) but the logo on the Kachina has started to peel around the edges. Can anyone recommend me how to fix that? Is fabric glue the best option, or is it better to sew it?

I remember when they moved to Arizona from Winnipeg and the shoulder patch on the Kachina jerseys still had the "Goals For Kids" on one side and Phoenix Coyotes on the other. Back when they first came out, you can only get the "Goals for Kids" shoulder patch on the authentic jerseys. Not the replicas.

It is one of those jerseys that everyone thought was godawful in the beginning to becoming thought of as one of the coolest hockey jerseys ever. If they could back to wearing this one (in white), all would be right again.

Do you think the coyotes will move to Houston in the near future? I know that they paid for another year/season with Gila River stadium but there is speculation. I'm just curious on what your opinion is on this. I personally am a recent fan of the coycotes when I went to my first hockey game in Glendale last November, and now I'm in love with hockey. In all honesty I'd hate to see the yotes go. Plus I already bought two jerseys.

Designers of the 3rd jersey were inspired one night while camping under a moonless, midnight sky. They popped a few peyote buttons and the Great Coyote in the Sky appeared to them. And in It's honor, they bestowed upon the rest us their glorious vision represented by the jersey.

I love the logo on the Kachina jersey, I love that it includes both Hopi and Navajo artistic traditions, but I don't like the colours of the original jersey. I like the colours of the floating coyote head and now the Space Coyote RR much better. I know the team is going to make the Kachina their main jersey for the 21/22 season, but I kinda wish they'd change the colours a bit. Maybe use purple instead of the burgundy, or swap the green and burgundy for burgundy and orange/rust, or purple and orange/rust.

I've loved the kachina jerseys since day one. I still have my original black Starter jersey from back in the day, and picked up another (Pro Player, also black) a while ago to wear on the ice (larger size to fit over the shoulder pads). Also, many Reebok jerseys are lacking the bottom stripes because their "uniform system" originally called for jerseys to be tucked in.

Funny Story....When It Was Announced That The JETS Were Gonna Become The COYOTES-I Bought A Game Worn JETS Road Jersey To Wear To Games(Inaugural Season-Till 04) Just So Opposing Team Fans Didn't Know If I Was US Or Canadian Hockey Fan! Also To Stand Out Amongst The Thousands Of Fans. Till The NEW JETS Came Around-I Was Reminding NEWBIE Hockey Fans Of Where The 'YOTES Came From!! ;-)

I was upset when they rebranded and went to red and black, which is sharp but overdone. At least they were unique. I would be interested in seeing a combination jersey with the modern logo but original colors and southwestern flair

I have the white one , and the leather jacket from over 25 years ago . I can't find the jacket anywhere. I bought it for 1300 back then . You can wear the jacket both ways. Jacket I think 2x jersey 2x only warn 1 time. Both look brand new. How do I find out how much they are worth?

Quick question for anyone who can answer, My Koho Black Kachina jersey has a slightly different logo to the black CCM. Mine has a white background not black between the blade of the stick and forehand of the yote, was this just a minor difference brand by brand?

Personally I like when the Arizona coyotes just had the white stripes those were really nice I wish they would go back to that instead of the black that looks not really that great on the jersey on the side
