Greg, I kind of grew up with you, I was not even an adult, when I first started watching your content, and today, I am watching this and I am amazed with the creative process you´ve put in to this, to make it tie up so neatly together, it is truly fascinating how creative you are!

It's quite interesting watching these videos as a devoted Christian who serves and reads in church. I find the new perspective quite refreshing. I obviously don't agree with everything, especially the superhero Jesus talk, but it's hard to deny that you put more effort into these videos than most people have put into their separate religions. Whether or not the separate elements are true or correct, this is some of the most engaging and beautiful theorising I've seen on historical cultural symbology. Absolutely love it, you bloody legend.

There's a character in Adventure Time named Fern who is a version of Finn, and who essentially *"dies"* and is *reborn* as 'Grass Finn'/Fern. He later becomes an *antagonist* for a short while and is renamed *'The Green Knight'* . He gets *beheaded* in the episode he is introduced in. Then he dies and is *reborn* as a tree all in the finale.

This is genuinely a series I've always wanted, where someone goes wild with their thoughts but doesn't take them 100% seriously or still treats them in a somewhat skeptical way. Love these

Osiris is definitely not a "dying and rising" god. When he was pieced back together he did not rise again, instead he passed on to the afterlife, and became the god of the underworld. He is much more a god of death than a god of life.

Theology Degree here... some points u need to look at. 1. Jesus mostly wore WHITE during his lifetime and this is commonly associated with him being an Essene. A cult who wore only white, which was rare in those times. Never heard of the red/blue thing. Must be modern painters during a specific period in christian history. 2. BLUE paint was fkin rare up until recent history! Throughout history blue paint is famously the hardest pigment to manufacture and therefore it was only ever used in important paintings. So dont put any significance on blues in any religious painting because they were probably just flexing their wealth ie having enough money to use blue in the first place. They would happily swap out a traditional colour just so they could use blue. 3. The Rapture is a modern belief... it literally appears nowhere in Christian history until the USA popularised it about 100 years ago. 4. Its commonly accepted that the Sphinx's face has been resculpted dozens of times by whoever ruled Egypt at the time. Basically the current face is nothing like what was originally there. Hence why the head is so damn small for the body! lol 5. Dont put any significance on the 'death narratives' in the Bible as its commonly accepted among theologians that these were added later to the Gospels. The Reincarnation story only appears in 2 of the 4 gospels and the language used isnt consistent with the rest of those 2 gospels, so almost certainly added later by the early christian church. 6. The Gospel of Thomas that was found among the dead sea scrolls is accepted as the oldest ever gospel, no mention of reincarnation. But check out this text for a more 'accurate' story of Jesus.

So when talking about all this symbolism, I feel like it's obvious that dudes like Jack Kirby and Stan Lee weren't necessarily thinking about all this esoteric jive. Do you believe these symbols then are so old and intrinsic to ancient and formative human life that they are still expressed in our subconscious?

Honestly this makes me think more on Jung's concept of the collective unconscious, the shared mind of our species from which memories, ideas and dreams echo back and forth through time in all humans.

Remember when Greg laughed with us at "Spirit Science" ? Yeah, me neither.

The only issue I have personally with the "green man" being a representation of the Arora borealis is that it wouldn't be visible to most of the Mediterranean area and further south on the planet. The Norse mythology may have parts that represent it, but much lower than the norther most parts of Europe would not have been able to see that to have created myths around it. You also have to assume that the ancient civilizations understood the magnetic field being what protected from the solar winds, and that is a BIG stretch on their understanding of the world. It would make more sense for them to have various river or snake references that would be similar to the waves of the arora borealis.
