Yes, it seems a lot if preterist dont do well at this. The law was put into effect to lead us to Christ. Sometimes i wonder how in the world if you are a preterist can you miss it but for some reason i learned that early on. It's a very freeing truth. Fantastic message.

So your stance is, faith in Christ is you living by the law? Or you have faith in Christ and you can't eat pork and celebrate the feasts?

Absolutely not. The NT tells us what passes away. This is my point: “All Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be equipped, having been thoroughly equipped for every good work.” ‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬-‭17‬ ‭ Is our Christian life supposed to resemble good works? If so, Paul says the Old Testament equips you for it.

When Paul gives the analogy of the two husband's in Romans. What do you think he is saying? If I died to one husband and marry another, then go back to the other husband,.doesn't that make me an adulteress. The law didn't die. I died to the law. I'm married to another. Theonomists.want to rebuild a theocracy and become the new Sharia police. It would be funny if it wasn't so sad.

I respectfully disagree. Luke 1:5-6 and Philippians 3:6 both say you can be righteous according to the law. The curse of the law was the promises. Deuteronomy 28-30 spell out the blessings and cursing that would occur to Israel for violating the law. I’m not teaching that the Law is adequate for salvation. It is inadequate. It’s only by faith and faith alone in Christ Jesus that one is saved. I’m arguing that the Law should be used for our Christian walk just as Paul said: “All Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be equipped, having been thoroughly equipped for every good work.” ‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬-‭17‬ ‭ Is our Christian life supposed to reflect good works? The Apostle Paul say the Old Testament Scriptures equip you for it. That’s my point. Unfortunately a lot of Preterist are rank antinomians and that’s not what Paul taught. Thanks for the comment!

@@SLS859 I am absolutely not antinomian. My reason for engaging with you is because you made it seem as if the Torah even had anything to do with eternal life. The law only gave blessings and cursing to Israel not gentiles. Too many believers think that Paul was arguing that there is a new way for spiritual salvation in the new covenant compared to the old. God didn't offer eternal life to Israel. That wasn't offered until the new covenant. Lastly, if we should look to the law to know how to act on faith then we should wear tzitzit and not wear wool and linen together. The commands we need are given by Jesus in the gospels and in particular the sermon on the Mount. I am just offering a paradigm shift.

I come off forceful because I see people fall into “Marcionism.” I have had people tell me not to quote the Old Testament to them because that’s “Old Covenant.” That’s why I may come off “preachy.” I have no intention on “forcing” anything on anyone.

There can be only one reason for this action. Every tyrant in recorded history when challenged begins with silencing descent. Take away the words, then come for everything else. Certainly you and I are witnesses to this very thing in spades today. I would never desire to see you denied the opportunity to express the content of this video. Paul is a hypocrite (especially when he comes to speak of the law). _1 Corinthians 9:20 And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law;_ _1 Corinthians 9:21 To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law._ Definition of hypocrite _1: a person who puts on a false appearance of virtue or religion_ _2: a person who acts in contradiction to his or her stated beliefs or feelings_ He claims to have “became” … “as under the law” and then “as without law” which puts on a false appearance and acts in contradiction to his stated beliefs or feelings. (Paul is a confessed hypocrite by the very definition of the word.)

He's very confused and confusing, and for a simple reason: he doesn't define what he means when he refers to 'the Law' (or 'law'). He also has an odd take on preterists. He needs to calm down and think carefully and precisely about what he is talking about.

Your zeal is commendable brother, but may I draw into the whom? Paul Paul Paul!?!? Yes, we are inclined to place such an one on a peditule but may I suggest to you that, this has not ALWAYS been the case 😮 In fact, the earliest church had grave issues with such an one! To summarize it, Peter asks "can a man be instructed and ordained for the office of teacher by means of A Vision?" "How can He have appeared to you, who is not even in agreement with his doctrine?" "If you really did become an apostle by him appearing to you, if only for ONE HOUR, then repeat His sayings, declare what he said and did, love his apostles, and dispute NOT with me who WAS with Him, for you have striven against me as an adversary, against me, the strong rock, the corner pillar of the church" This is just a small sample of course.

@@ophiuchus9071 end of the story I guess.. not quite.. keep searching brother because there's much more to the story..we can't simply dismiss an overall biblical narrative because of ONE lone passage that has been brought in dispute for milliniua and subject to questionable translation and interpretation.. I looked it up.." mistake" was the result I got back 🤔 The better question at hand is, in my thinking is contrary' Is Paul advancing, TEACHING contrary to the gospel narrative, to the greater biblical narrative rooted from Genesis 12 through to the ascension? Do we find a narrative in the writings of Paul consistent with most all of the writ that proceeds his? The answer, my preliminary findings say, no, we don't!!! Dare I? Paul's gospel, and he does call it HIS, bears no resemblance to the teachings found in the accounts given by those who knew him IN THE FLESH!! We as students, subjects of the most high, might have reason to weigh in balance of every possible eventuality, Beginning with the olivet discord.. Blessings to you and your further studies 💕

Just a fun fact.. Jesus Christ referred to himself as the 'son of man ' over 80×!! Paul in contrast?? NEVER ONCE Paculiar 🤔 Further, Paul rarely if ever actually quotes the "son of man" or the "son of God"!!! In the end, who's word is worthy of our trust?

@@ophiuchus9071 your final paragraph has exposed you brother. If I were to list the contradictions, my fingers would fall off. Besides, you claim to have conquered all objections which tells me you are already aware of the many. I'd hope to have a civil discourse with someone who can acknowledge that they DON'T KNOW all that there is to know. Shouldn't be that difficult. Peters quote is recorded by the bishop of Rome if you didn't already know. He was a contemporary of Peter and the other apostles who knew the son of man in the FLESH and acknowledged that Jesus was come in the FLESH. Shall we begin? Question #1: was the law given by the most high God OR by an angel or angels? Many more poignant questions to follow if you care to hazard the possibility of being exposed. I am 💪
