Been exploring the potential of nitromethane fueled engines for drones and its pretty intriguing.. The mass to power ratio is extremely high and the piston engines are much less expensive to mass produce them turbines and can be made very small.. I've yet to see one but a ducted fan driven by a nitromethane engine could produce the supersonic thrust which is highly desirable for terminal phase of munitions. The down sides of nitromethane engines being extremally short engine life, hazardous fuels is largely mitigated by the nature of drones being unmanned and semi-disposable.
