Just testing out the new turbine there are several different angles during this video and start ups.
Update 11/2/2020. Getting way too many questions about this particular video so I hope this helps address some of your Questions...... In the video I do state that I know that this is the incorrect propeller for this application. I understand it is would I understand it is the wrong bitch wrong size... It was just to have something on there to do a quick test.
The other question I’ve been getting way too much of is that the prop is on backwards..... It is not on backwards end it does make thrust... Watch the entire video and you can see that the fuel tank blows away..... I’ll say it again it is the incorrect prop...... When the turbine slows down you do see a lot of smoke blowing the incorrect way from the thrust direction this is because there was a 10 mph wind blowing the opposite.... Other words the table was not into the Wind.
11/5/2020. Thanks everybody for the great comments and I must admit I am quite humbled to pass the 200,000 Mark of views of this video..... Along with all the new subscribers I can’t thank you enough... I never dreamed I would have a video that would reach this many views so that being said I will try to do better videos with more information in the future. Thanks so much again for taking the time to watch my videos.

Thanks for showing us this. As a high school junior or senior (1969), we received an English assignment to write a story about something we would like to accomplish in the future. I concocted a story about developing a model sized turbine engine. Our teacher (a student teacher) made no comments about use of language, punctuation or anything like that. He did state that my idea was dumb. I wish I could show him things like this. Can you believe I lost respect for him?

Those types of teachers teach because they cant do anything else except have ego issues and ridicule others. They destroy dreams they didnt have themselves and should be struck off as teachers. Ive had many assholes like this in my learning curve.

hmmm. fortunately, because you have accurately described the assignment, it is possible to explain. there is/was a tone/subtext in the assignment, that you apparently missed. the teacher was expecting a story about doing something virtuous; Not about the miniaturization of an engine. d

@@thetruthexperiment no this is way too weak to lift a plane with a person in it. The power of those kind of jet engines is not measured in horsepower but in pounds (or kilograms) of thrust. If the ECU says cooling then the starter motor should be spooling the engine at a low rpm to cool the turbine blades. Turbines don’t like to run too cold and as a result they run so hot that you usually gotta cool them down afterwards. They can use up a lot of electricity just for starting and stopping, that’s why they’re mostly only used in planes. I’m putting a pair of these in a large remote control boat, but I’ll have the space to put the fuel and batteries I need to restart my engine out on the lake and have a long range without being in an extremely low resistance environment like say, the air. Anyway, does that thing have prop stop or neutral on it?

For the record, that was a pretty good reply. The point was that as the size of the prop decreases, the optimal rpm increases. Yes, I know, hydrogen is quite bulky, but it's light and you don't need to store it for long, so the insulation wouldn't need to be that good (for LH2). Really, the fuel cells have as much power-to-weight as a LiPo that lasts 5 min, but they are as efficient as big jet turbines, and hydrogen has about 3x the energy per weight, compared to jet fuel.

It depends on the configuration. The power is developed by a free turbine which is driven by the exhaust gas from the core. This configuration looks like a pusher, so the prop is at the rear and the engine would benefit from the ram-air effect when moving forward. For a tractor configuration with the prop at the front, the shaft driven by the free turbine would pass through the main core of the engine to drive the prop at the front thus pulling the aircraft along. Again, the engine benefits from ram-air.

@@frankhage1734 because in the video the leading edge of prop is trailing. The swept edge is moving forward, in the video. I just figured it was frame rate. My kitfox it looked that way too. Sweet really sweet turboprop. I help build a glassair 6 with a Cheslovakian turbo prop. ru-vid.com

@@warbirdmitchell4510 model turbines real ones have closed dry sump systems that recerculate the oil the models use the fuel with oil to cool and lube the bearings and once the combustion chamber finally lights it causes the excess fuel coming out of the rear bearing to ignight and cause it to get dry and extra hot till the proper fuel oil mix returns

@@tonywright8294 just curious as to it's rotational speed. Props, especially wooden ones, have rotational limits. I've seen them shatter and fly apart, from being spun far too fast.
