A magnificent comedian. Amazing timing and an ability to paint the scene in your mind that made the punchlines even funnier, building laughter on top of laughter. I will miss you Jethro. Thank you for bringing so much joy and laughter into my life. R.I.P
Rest in peace Jethro, you brought so much laughter and it was a pleasure meeting you regularly over the years in the nightclubs of Weymouth after your shows.
We need as much good news as possible in these times. . And what we've heard today is the worst news. Such a funny man. I never knew him but I've shed a few tears. There will be laughter in heaven tonight. X
Jethro got to the pearly gates, St Peter looked at him, gently nodded his head and smiled.....and Jethro said "What happened was...." R.I.P. Jethro. Thanks for the laughs.
What can you say? Geoff Rowe was a true gentleman, supremely gifted and a good friend to many people. He was loved by many, many more and will be sadly missed for years to come. There's so few really funny men left now. RIP Jethro!
As an exiled Devonian living in Nottingham I loved watching Jethro live and also his many his DVD's and jis TV appearances. His accent reminded me so much of my late Dad. RIP Jethro, you were a true comedian who will never be forgotten !!!
It's not just the stories. It's the delivery. What a wonderful gift of making people laugh this man had. I listen to this clip often, and even though I know what's coming I still laugh out loud. RIP Jethro.
My goodness, how I hate funerals. In the last 10 years I have lost my wife both parents & 6 good pals. However I watched this because of the great man. There will be another Jethro, R I P.

met him at a small works do 30 odd years ago - sharp as a razor, funny as they come, and a truly nice bloke, all he wanted was to Make people laugh, he will be sorely missed - rest up Jethro safe in the knowledge we are still laughing now
A very funny and cheerful joiner called Geoff Rowe did some work in my cottage in Nancledra , between St.Ives and Penzance, in 1973. I wonder what became of him. PS. I told him he should be on the stage. He said “I can’t , it left an hour ago”
Dear Jethro you are sadly missed by us all you were a true ambassador of Cornwall and the westcountry you were simply the best of the best the modern crap have got alot to live up to God bless you my old friend and I will never forget you 😢😢😅
If ever a national treasure born,it must be this gentleman jethro. What a loss for his family, and all his friend's and fan's. We all will miss him.r.I.p
Such a lovely fella, spent many an hour watching and chattin' with him. I actually made him laugh when he was doing one of his many appearances in The Royal Cornwall theatre in Truro, often spoke about it when we subsequently met!
No wonder Des had Jethro on his show many times he was such a funny man can you imagine Des and Jethro on stage to together again in God's variety show it will be brilliant RIP Jethro and Des❤️❤️❤️😂😂😂
The most highly under-rated comedien of all time but also one of the funniest too, if you can`t chuckle along with Jethro then sadly, there`s no hope for you at all. 🤣😂
What a wonderful funny man, genuinely funny. Good, clean, hilarious humour. In my humble opinion, we have only been blessed with two really great stand up comedians who can really lift your spirits and make you laugh until your sides ache. Jethro was one and Peter Kay the other. RIP Jethro and thank for those wonderful memories.
A great man so funny made people 😂 with his great sense humour he be missed sorely gone too. Soon never forgotten like Des O’Connor my belly is hurting so much with laughter his jokes a brilliant Cornish comedienne all time a legend 😂😂😊🙏🙏😭😭R.i.P Jertho god gained another angle
With what is going on in this country God we need people like dear old Jethro their is À big hole in Cornwall left by this fantastic warm man plenty of modern people make you cry very few make ýou laugh
Des O Connor was absolutely horrific at being a comedian, singer, presenter but the one thing he did get right was having Jethro on his show and just letting him do what he does best - make people laugh. What a loss to the comedy world. Such an amazing entertainer.
met Jethros agent once who told me how the Des O ' Connor show first came about. An American comedian pulled out of one of Des's show the day before it was due to be recorded. The agent knew Des personally and had been asking him to find a sport for Jethro - who at the time was not known outside of Cornwall - and so Des rang him and said that if Jethro could get to the recording immediately then he could take the spot. The rest is history
