It has been exactly six months since Jetson entered the eVTOL market. To celebrate this exciting milestone, we are releasing a new video of the Jetson ONE eVTOL as the pilot explores a unique view of the Tuscan landscape.
To continue marking this special occasion, Jetson are pleased to announce their attendance at the auspicious Top Marques, Monaco, Grimaldi Forum and VivaTech, Paris Europe's largest technology event.
The ONE is to be unveiled by H.S.H Prince Albert II of Monaco on Wednesday 8th June 2022. The ceremony will be the first time Jetson ONE will be seen in public since it entered the market in late October 2021.
Please share and subscribe. With your support the future of personal aviation begins now!

I am in my 70's. When I watched the 1950's sci-fi movies, I hoped for the day when that fiction might become reality. By the grace of God, I might have another 20 years to watch even more techno magic. Meanwhile, I want to fly one of these things so badly I can taste it!!!

Not a new technology at all. Germans had it during WW1. They copied from tartarian technologies. It existed in Egypt. Look up some ancient Atlas. ( Atlas is ancient maps for new generation, don't know it). For tartarian giants, civilization go to stuffed beagle, Jonlevi in the USA, Michelle Gibson is american in Australia, Paul Cook in UK, cracmal in Italy. For Titan giant civilization and petrified giants trees go to Mr Rogers videos under mud flooding university.

I guess kudos to Jetson for not pretending that this thing is silent. Showing it in this kind of landscape is perhaps the least flattering place for it though, what with the downforce blowing everything to smithereens below and the noise disrupting the peacefulness of the countryside.

RU-vid started out w folks thinking they were videographers and most of the content was annoying music and kids doing Jack Ass type stuff. You'd think by 2015 adults and especially those possibly trying to market an item would take advantage, but no. I think there is another PFV (personal fight vehicle) group that did the same thing but they called it an "introduction video" and all it was was music and fluff. I get that the software / controller logic is likely proprietary but the GPS sensors motors and batteries are all now store bought items once only in the realm of govts or military. The fun beings with the FAA and NTSB. No Part 103 for sure and no wonder not in the USA even for this regulatory busting flight.

Flying "cars" (more like a flying motorcycle in this case) are definitely a fun idea, and there's certain use-cases for them... but by and large, videos like this just prove why flying cars would be totally impractical in typical use cases compared to normal cars and transit. 1) The wind. If you tried taking off in a flying car in an average neighbourhood, you'd be blowing every trash can, lawn ornament, unsecure thing, etc... all around the place. Everything within like at least a 50 foot radius wouldn't be safe if it's isn't bolted down or rooted into the earth. People would have to drive their flying cars to special take-off zones, and only land in special zones as well, then drive the rest of the way. These takeoff/landing would be major pinch-points for traffic. So yeah, even with flying cars, we'd end up with traffic, and have many other limitations on where and when you can fly. 2) The NOISE. These things are frickin' loud. At this size, it sounded like a giant swarm of robotic bees the size of dogs... can you imagine how a flying mini-van would sound? People would be flying frickin' jet engine level noise machines around at the same frequency as cars today? Don't think so. 3) This thing's unstable. I'm sure we can come up with more advanced designs in the future, but as it is... it feels like a stiff updraft from one side would be enough to flip this thing upside down, and then you're totally buggered. Drones lose control all the time because of this. The smaller the aircraft, the less stable it'll be. Airliners are safer because of their size and wingspan, which gives them stability. Helicopters can flip upside down, but still recover. This thing couldn't. And speaking of helicopters.... 4) We've already had helicopters for decades, which are roughly the size of a car/van/truck. If people having "flying cars" was ever going to be a thing, we would have let everybody have helicopters already. But we don't. Because flying is frickin' dangerous and relatively complicated, and people are already bad enough at driving non-flying cars. This could change with computer controlled flying cars... but then you'd still have the other problems I mentioned. And if you're not even gonna be driving your flying car, you might as well not even own it, but just grab a flying taxi when you need one. And if you're just gonna grab a taxi that can't take off in your neighbourhood due to wind and sound bylaws, and just has to drive you to a designated take-off/landing zone... which might be called something like an "airport"... at which point, you'd then start flying and reach another designated airport, which you'd then be driven from, to your destination.... Hmm... sounds familiar, doesn't it? Basically, the idea of "flying cars" is not, was not ever, and will not ever be a practical idea. Flying machines like this might be great for recreation and sports, etc... as well as some professional/industrial type uses I could think of... but not for transportation or use by the general public.
@AWSVids
@AWSVids 2 года назад
@RockManLP_Radio If your concern is hacking, then that’s not a huge concern. We already have computer controlled self-driving cars, and even though they’re in their early stages, they’re already safer than human drivers. It’ll only get better. The trouble with quadcopters is their general inability to fly with one or more motors broken. Hopefully Jetson was/is able to make it so that if thrust is lost in one corner, the rest automatically adjust to prevent any dangerous changes in attitude. EDIT: It seems some of you don't understand that when a plane or helicopter loses engine power, it can glide to safety. Without any power, airplanes can have a 10:1 glide ratio, and helicopters can have a 3:1 glide ratio. Quadcopters have a glide ratio of 1:1 or worse. In addition, a parachute needs a minimum altitude in order to function properly.

It's going to cost you 10 times more than the price of the parts. You're better off to build one from scratch. It's under 10K to build one but it's being sold at 100K.

@@ImCallingFromSpringfield It's way more easy than you think. All components are available online and the total parts list in probably under $6000. One of those exact motors is priced around $400. And you don't even have to use the same materials or the same configuration. There are configurations with only 2 motors (instead of 8) that can take you up in the air for a few minutes of fun. If you only care about the fun aspect. Plus there are way cheaper and more effective ways to fly. It's called a para-glider. You can have one for $3,500. Just add a small motor to it and you can fly for way more than just 20 minutes. That thing can only fly for less that 20 minutes. More like 10 to 15 minutes max.

@@ImCallingFromSpringfield Or just ask China to build it for you. They can make one for less than $10,000. The most expensive part is the motor and it's under $400 on Ebay or Alibaba. Get a clue already. And stop promoting financial terrorism in my bedroom because you get exterminated for it with this international court ordered treatment right here. I already have enough financial terrorism from bitch products that are not being publicly executed daily. Well, in my mind, this vehicle is a non-starter, and will never become viable in any form other than one-off sales to eccentric multimillionaires that are willing to spend $100K for the ability to fly slowly at low altitude for a few minutes. I'm perfectly willing to be proven wrong. But, I doubt this thing will ever have the capability they claim. Thus, I think it's a moot point about commercial production (at any scale beyond one-off experimentation).

I converted my back yard into a helipad for my personal air vehicle. I just finished my personal aerial vehicle course at my local DMV. I passed both the ground school and flight school over the weekend. They just finished installing 5 pads with fast chargers at my job so now I can finally fly to work. I'm so happy not to get caught in traffic anymore. I took a test flight to work yesterday and the app forced me to wait mid flight for about 20 second because it conflicted with another pilot in the area. No big deal... better than waiting 20 minutes on the highway in rush hour because of traffic. Now my wife wants one because she is sick of traffic too. "Imagine"
