Jetstream Sam DLC - Armstrong No Damage (Hard) - You're Hired Achievement 

I feel kinda bad watching this considering how Armstrong beat me 14 times consecutively until I had my first "Rage Quit" in like 10 years.

I love how Sam's just taunting him the whole time.

This Armstrong should be listed in top ten OP bosses

worst boss fight in the game, i love it when his charged attack hits one of the corners and starts bouncing and going around in circles until it can hit you

At least Armstrong doesn't have 200% health.

Sam basically went lol at Armstrong's cheapness.

This boss is hard as fuck and badly designed. Sam requires taunting and charge attacks to deal dmg, but if you taunt him, he almost never stops attacking so you can't charge your attacks.

Second Phase I kept backing up my save and after countless attempts, I finally got it. I was going to turn off the game if I died one more time, and I got it on the last attempt that determined whether or not I continued playing for the night or not lol.

So basically even a little charge attack matters and when he does that fire fist in the ground,do a basic full power charge to knock him back

For anyone watching this and struggling like I did, there's a trick I learned from my 100 or so attempts before I realized enraging him meant more damage. In lhase 2 when he's charging up a "blockable" charge, if you do a dodge (even if he isn't close), he will cancel his charge and go into a pin animation instead. If you time it right, and make sure you dodge backwards on "red" charges and sodeways on "orange" charges, you can get him locked into a chain of attempted pins for a long time. The only way he can get out is by using his massive punch attack. For that move, you can stop it from spazzing out by making sure you stay within the circle area of the helipad, and dodge backwards (through) his dashes instead of to the side. You have more than enough s to consistently land the dodge. And if you aren't using enrage yet, USE IT. Once I realized what it did, i got the ni hit kill first try. This boss is fucking bullshit, i know, but I believe in you!

Those dodges in phase 2 put the dance in “Lets dance!”

This...boss was cheap as shit, >_> This is the hardest No damage achievement to me. he was not well tested >_>

It's been a few months now and I STILL, CANNOT, BEAT, HIM (by that I mean get the achievement)! Seriously, they need to weaken Armstrong and buff Sundowner.

Is he supposed to not use firewalls in his last half of the fight? My biggest pain in the ass is when he uses firewalls to block me off in a section, and then starts grabbing me, not giving me space to dodge due to the firewalls, but I've seen several videos of this fight where he just doesn't do that.

I spent like 2 hours on his second phase waiting for an opportunity to do the slash attack but after watching your video and realizing when he is raged to just do quick strong jabs I beat him my first time lol. After figuring out the trick he wasn't even that hard :) Thanks a lot! Your video helped a TON.

It's so perfect it's seens like they're dancing

I'm trying this now, only half the time when he does his supercharged attack, he bounces off the egde and spazzes out, running circles around me until he hits (or delaying the charge just long enough so that he hits me in between dodges). I try to stay in the centre of the arena, but still, it happens every 1 in 8 charges. It's a real pain in the ass.

Nailed it a while ago. ;) It's definitely doable if you can keep him from spazzing out.

Armstrong in the DLC is an RNG (Luck) battle i never healed in the entire game in hard but this was the first time when he was 10% HP and started doing a lot of shit

I'm a coward. The way I got this trophy was basically: *Taunt him. *Wait for him to charge at you, but make sure he's not yellow or preparing to do that fire dash. Otherwise keep dodging. --Double jump over it. You’ll see Armstrong spin around you like a goofball, then he'll stop moving briefly. *Just do the regular triangle charged attack. *Rinse and repeat. Dodge as necessary.

I tried to do this earlier, but I failed all my attempts at it so I quit and gave up. I'm probably never going to do this again.

idk about anyone else but i'm still working on this achievement after years. the other bosses no damage were easy but i just can't do this

How the hell do you get the camera to stay behind you!?!?!?! I have to move the camera non stop to try to see what's going on and in the time I get hit alot.

Like how tf his dodge timings are soo hard atleast with raiden u have ninja run but Armstrong is so much harder on this especially with how long it takes to charge Sam's attacks

I appericate the guide, but its not going to work. On my game I get extra BS from most people apparently. It won't even do the moves I tell it to do half the time. What makes it worse is you can't block and for me even when I dodge, sometimes he will still hit me for no reason.

My version starts different, such as when I hit him he does that foot stomp thing.

I see, so you can't block the yellow glowing charge attack he does, with the grab and punting you up in the air. always thought I failed timing on that one, rather than it being unblockable, since pretty much every other enemy can be blocked all the time.
