The reason for the kitchen... I was just looking for a place to stay on VRBO. I was surprised to see this resort pop up. The two bedroom suite that I found is actually privately owned and the stay does not include the all-inclusive benefits like unlimited food and beverages. (You can pay the resort for access to that benefit or pay for food a-la carte if you prefer). That kitchen is fully stocked with plates, flatware, pots and pans, etc. I just thought you might like to know. Thanks for both reviews of the resort. Hi Holly!! It's a pretty large room. It's like a full apartment. The glass wall on the balcony was a nice touch so that you could see everything. Two bathrooms!! Wow! And the first one was really large! Great room tour and review.

This room looks great! I love the double vanity and the fact that you each had your own bathroom! I agree, with an all inclusive resort, I don’t see the need for a stove, dishwasher etc..

Just got back. We stood on the 7th floor in a two bedroom butler suite. There is a kitchen because these rooms used to be privately owned apartments. The resort is a nightmare for walking. It’s over 40 steps to just get to the pool and another 10 to 15 steps to get to the beach. It’s also up and down a flight of steps to get to some of the restaurants. None of the buildings are connected. There is limited seating around the pool and on the beach. Not much areas for shade either. The beach is nothing like a resort beach. Small and loaded with seaweed. Not many people go in the water. Food was just ok. No buffet for dinners, so you have to use the individual restaurants, which are pretty warm or hot. The whole resort lost AC for 24 hours. Floors were soaked in humidity until they got the air working. Had to mop up the wet floors ourselves using beach towels. All of the main pool underwater lights had loose gaskets and were hanging off the all. A lot of areas needed repair or replacement. Not much drink service around the pool or beach. No win up b in h main pool. The Ensor was boy ok, but no worth h money.

headed there next week after our previous rental from VRBO was cancelled due to property damage. We booked this category of room, so thank you very much!

What a great place to stay!

Some of those units are actually sold as residential apartments that is why you will see stove and dishwasher. Also some are used as Airbnb's.

The kitchen is available because with a suite you have the option to pay for a chef to come cook for you for an additional cost. The room you have is one of the "remodeled" rooms. The building on the opposite side still has the older layout, so they likely upgraded to ensure your review was positive. Stayed here three times, twice in the oceanfront suite and once in a 3 bedroom villa. Three stays in 18 months. It's a great resort for couples but there are more families bringing children, which is fine, but the children are never sent to the children's area, and tend to wanna takeover the jacuzzi. Service and food are still great but they are becoming less accommodating if you have issues with your room, unless you have a large party or doing reviews. I would recommend to anyone going to Montego Bay, just make sure you don't get a bad room.

very interesting! I've never stayed in an all inclusive resort so it was interesting to see what is provided especially stocking your fridge and room service. Much more room than you really needed. Weird on the unneeded things. 2 bathrooms would indicate 2 bedrooms. The kitchen things were certainly not needed.

Since I have been researching Jewel Grande, I have come to learn that there are condos that are used as Airbnb suites in the resort that people who are not interested in all inclusive can reserve.
