Hey guys.
In this ‪@EagleDynamicsTV‬ video im flying the jf17 Thunder against the F16 Viper in a BVR fight (Beyond Visual Range)
I got the SD10 and he has the AIM120 AMRAM.
Hope you guys enjoy!
I love playing simulators, i started with Arma 3 and then i saw DCS World. I also enjoy War Thunder , Battlefield , Ghost recon, Squad , Rome total war, Microsoft Flight Simulator and more. I also enjoy World War II games including il-2 In DCS World i found all the jets that i wanted to fly in a simulator the F 16 Viper , FA 18 Hornet , F 15 Eagle , A 10 Warthawg , SU 27 , Mig 29 , P 51 , Spitfire , AH 64 Apeche , Heuy and more... And if you will download MODs the options are endless: F 22 Raptor, SU 57 , A 4 Skyhawk , SR 71 Blackbird , Rafale, Gripen and the list goes on.

Fun video had me laughing and wondering why you weren't cranking as hard as I thought you should have been. The result was what I expected and you gave the reason why you weren't cranking so hard. To me it seemed all the kills on both planes were the result on not being more aggressive on the defense. A great video on the merits of a good defense. Cheers to both you and Gainful22.

To successfully go against an F-16 in a Jf-17 you need three things. 1. A top tier Jf-17 pilot 2. A mediocre F-16 pilot 3. A good amount of luck In essence, it’s simply an unfair match. The viper should completely dominate the fight (due to its speed and acceleration) and can choose when to engage/disengage. Same goes for the Hornet and Eagle. The Jf-17 is just too slow.

The Jf-17's RWR display, or SA display is different from any other and is probably its highlighting feature, especially in BVR and even in ACM sometimes. The multi-directional sensors on the exterior will display what they are seeing on the RWR, showing you where a missile is in relations to you, no matter its guidance/seeker type. This means it can even detect and show the vector of things like Pitbull Fox-3's, fox-2's and MANPADS... The jet has some shortcomings but its the only jet in the sim with that feature as far as i know... (heres hoping the Apache fixes that, albeit for the helos)

AWESOME!! Great vids! I find BVR combat even scarier than gunfights. It's like a shark attack - you can't see it and you just get that feeling in your gut when you've made a mistake and are just praying the it won't find you.

Longshot: "Oh, that's dangerous..."😮 Longshot, which is really most dangerous? 😏 Using an unfamiliar RWR to defend yourself with, or relying on Growling to out- fly a missile by out-rolling it??😁😁

You have to maintain lock until the "toa: xx:xx" timer reaches 0 then it turns to tof. Toa is time of activation. Before it activates it relies on your radar for tracking. Also the small dot that hovers around the enemy on your hud is you aim point. That's the direction you should launch the missile to be most effective. Otherwise the missile wastes energy turning towards the target. There's also a button to uncage the heat seeker head and it auto slaves to radar for dogfight mode.

In the first missile launch, if you pitch 30 degree angle, you make the SD-10 loft pretty high, in 30 nm range can get in the target with more that 2 mach

Dont forget to loft yr SD’s. They’ll loft if you pitch up the jeff at least 8° i think. Optimal is 25° - 30° from my experience, so the missile wont lost that much energy turning up.

Any reason why you don’t crank from the offset? Preventing the bandit from launching at you and lobbing a missile on your terms - can often get a high Pk missile as the first missile with an offensive crank

Why did you take the DL pod? That's just for the AKG. If you want a datalink, tune radio 2 to 199 and establish the link with 'mast' mode.

Score 2-2, JF-17 can win against F-16 Viper, although it has lower technology. JF-17 is a kind of export version, PLA does not use it.

PLA has different requirements although they still fly some J7s which is based on MIG21 JF17 block 3 is way ahead of MIG21 but i think PLA is more focused on stealth fighter jet programmes

It's basically devolved for Pakistani air force. So PAC Kamra in Pakistan is developing them up to block 3. Pakistan has whole squadron of JF in their airforce and they are adding more of them in March.
