The special operations team rigged a lowering system to lower the worker harnessed in a halfback to a landing where the worker was then transferred to a stokes basket and lowered to the ground from there and then transported to the hospital to get checked out with non life threatening injuries.
This is RAW footage of the incident with much of the radio traffic included.

VERY nicely done. Excellent communication from the assessment, planning and execution. This should be used as a training video by other departments.

@@thejfrd2490 I agree. High angle rescues like that can be pretty difficult and honestly, you guys made it look a lot easier than what I’m sure it was.

Too much time and is not preferable to risk losing a patient trying to go down 200+ feet of winding narrow stairs! JFD rescued this guy textbook!

That is what we call a "half back"...maintains spinal immobilization and rated for lifting.

Good but why so many people for only one injured ?
@thejfrd2490
@thejfrd2490 Год назад
@larryaullay5957 This is a very tricky situation and very manpower intensive. This is our special operations team hard at work. Their training and the people working this ensure that no on else gets hurt and we rescue the one person injured.
