I almost didn’t buy their kit cause the videos are.. well you know.. 🤣 I get all my parts for my b7 s4 through my shop so it’s all wholesale pricing, but I was eyeing the jhm kit for the last couple weeks. I think I’ll go this route since the way you explained the cutting was 100x better than how they did it. I’m not looking for a guessing game when cutting metal! Thanks bro, gonna give you a follow!
You literally posted this on the right day! Solved the issue I was having. Wasn’t aware of the cutting that was required. Y’day was a good day! Keep doing ur thing 👊
Great video. Very helpful and informative. JHM's videos look like they were shot with a potato. I know they are 15 years old but the could shoot an update. I need to do that as my swapped S6 is hella lose.
@@CIPGAS Finally got my parts in. I put off ordering them for a while and then USPS delivered them to the wrong address. It took a week for my carrier to recover my package and deliver it. Now I need to find the time to install it. I kind of think my shim is missing or something because there is some slop where it meets the selector rod coming out of the trans. Between ordering an OEM link and bushing rebuild, the JHM one is only like $30 more or so.
Great content on the video!!!! Those rotors wheels you have look sick with the brembo calipers! Keep posting videos of your laser!!! Cheers from Guatemala!
Hey I just did this on my 02x linkage and had to take off crap Ton of material as 02x is way different than 01e, should I cover the bare metal places with some protection paints? So it doesn’t rust?
Does that shifter linkage sit on top side of the trans when it's sitting in the car or at the bottom? Mine has broken and I haven't went under to look yet? Great video btw
Could you help me out with the stabilzer rod? I need to buy a new one since i got the wrong one on mine. But can't find the right rod the one i bought doesnt fit the bushing.
great video actually all your s4 videos... my rs4 b5 has this crappy cross rod that has a plastic ending like yours... shouldn't we do something about that?
Thank you!! I actually looked into it and spoke to a few people on this. The crossroad hasn’t been a failure point on any car I’ve seen or heard of. JHM does sell a more robust one but I believe it’s more geared to people who track the car very frequently and unlike the other pieces it doesn’t help with shift feel at all. jhmotorsports.com/jhm-hd-linkage-cross-rod-late-for-b5-s4-c5-a6-allroad-no-core.html
I’ve done the JHM cross-rod in addition to the above. Didn’t make a shift difference, just gave me peace of mind that I won’t have to touch these parts again.
