Ricky fumbling his words and saying stomp an asshole in you is definitely not "verbal torching" he needed to let the conversation flow and instead he steamrolled his words at 16890mph. He had good moments but he repeated himself too much

Starks as a title contender proves that AEW is struggling. No real man takes Ricky seriously and that’s because he looks like he can’t fight and has been booked horribly as well. You can’t just insert a midcard guy into a top spot

I’d agree with everything you said on principal but my only argument is who isn’t gonna pop for all the future iterations of their feud? This has a Rock Austin feel to me. Albeit not on the same level, they are The two guys who could lead a generation, atleast on AEWs current roster.

The problem is, who actually has been booked properly?

Bet my two cents The Elite gonna lose their acrobatic series to Death Triangle and have Kenny pit himself against MJF with corporate level screwing involved.

@@sigmablock I am worried more about Jericho than Kenny. Sooner or later MJF versus Kenny would happen. Best case scenario is CM punk returning out of pity and having a program with MJF.

This is a legit fear. Starks is so good and you know omega and the elite don't want that type of talent getting over. Jericho will cut this guy leg out or even worst feud with him taking all his momentum.

I think it's the bucks influence that drags him down as well and I ain't no fan of Kenny omega but whosoever fought against Kenny never had their value gp down. Bucks just weasels out of the way to let other good talent go over. But God forbid any program with Jericho just freezes them, I mean look at Eddie Kingston, Daniel Bryan, .. @@eduardodubois4994 I think Kenny and elite have a view of aew that is work rate centric. Guys like starks and mjf highlight that they suck overall and aren't as big of a deal they think they are. Jericho collecting a check and wants to be featured to the detriment of hot talent

Yep, as good as he is, MJF can’t do much of a run without good babyfaces to go up against. The booking is so bad that he has to help make them himself.

Imagine Flair's runs without credible babyfaces? That's half of the appeal right there. I don't watch AEW but I listen to these shows. Brian Last always praised Starks and called him underutilized. I never really saw much of him and caught this segment live on a whim last Wednesday. He was so fired up I was like "why haven't they done anything with this guy?" yeah he needs to axe the awkward pointing and learn to pace himself better but there's something there. Compared to the other under 35 guys I've seen on that roster he's Jesse Ventura on the mic.

@@fatalsniper3413 Dusty, Sting and Steamboat being the most obvious those 3 years. You can include Magnum T.A. too before the accident. MJF literally has nobody especially now that they sunk Wardlow like a stone. Kahn has an opportunity to recitfy that. As he usually fumbles those opportunities though I don't really see any hope.

I said this very thing to a friend earlier lol. MJF needs to drop the ring and it would keep Ricky in the periphery. Because the Diamond Ring is like King of the Ring and you get a title shot right? It would irritate MJF knowing Starks is lurking around with another shot. And it would make it believable if MJF almost loses to him hence *needing* to cheat to beat him.

You don't need a hokey end like that. Just put the ring on the line, not the title. Stark wins and makes everyone wonder if he could beat MJF for the title.

I love his entrance music. Everytime I hear it, I feel like I just booted up WCW / nWo Revenge on my Nintendo 64 and I'm watching the cinematic intro. Lol

I could see backstage politics keeping starks down. People have reason to fear when one guy is so good the rest look like bigger dweebs. I wouldn't be surprised if the elite don't want guys like that succeeding

Moxley and Starks is not a good combo. Might get injured. The Firm storyline got scrapped because the person they were supposed to feud with and the person who was supposed to get screwed over is not there after the media scrum. There's no other faces that the crowd likes so it's Ricky Starks or Orange and nobody wants to see MJF feud with chumps
