There are hundreds of people who still have and use DVD players. The same as we still have people using CD's, reading paper books and there are hundreds more listening to music on vinyl records.
Yep same here, can not beat physical media. Got back into vinyl a few years back had a load in the 70s, 80s. So what goes around comes around. Keep buying and keep it alive.

I am a Brit living in the Philippines and went to a store here to buy a DVD player about 20 years ago. The young salesman said to me "You are a foreigner, do you need all regions, I can do it but it will cost you 1,500 pesos in cash" (around 15 quid then). I agreed, he wanted the money up front, he took the remote, opened the DVD drawer, punched a four digit code into the remote, then closed the drawer. Job done and it worked. It makes sense, why would they make different DVD players for different regions?

Because it is not an English City anymore. More Khan ensures more of our British ideals get destroyed. Which seems to please the new populous. Christmas offends, heck saying Merry Christmas is supposedly offensive. Khan will be the mayor of London until he dies an old man.. Or if we finally get a Government with the Balls to deport all those that have no right to be here in the first place.

Some of those old dvd players you could make them play multi region by entering a code on the remote.. Check on the net if your dvd player can do that.. As for Khan what hasn't he done?.. Londonistan is knackered.
I still have loads of dvds inc all your ones Jim. Some multi region dvd players have a setting to change, get a brand called Lazer Jim, plays every region. All check on RU-vid bound to be a site that says how to get it to play all. I'm a cockney living in Corfu. I'm embarrassed when the Brits flood my neighbourhood in summer. I'm still a cockney. But I'm not a Brit anymore. Not in my way of thinking. Jim, you've travelled the world. You've had your mind broadened by your experience, I'm sure. So you know what I'm saying. If all you know is the chip shop on the corner and what soaps you watch on TV, then that informs your world. That's all you know. Living in Greece is much the same as living in the UK. But hotter. I'm still skint. I'm still working for assholes who think their shit don't stink. But the biggest difference is the lack of violence here. I can walk anywhere at any time of day, and feel safe. I can go to a bar and have a sing song with a bunch of Greeks, Dutch, Germans, Aussies, south Africans etc, and we ALL get on. We're all bloody foreigners here, so it doesn't matter. Just people getting by and enjoy the bits of life when you aren't grubbing around to make a living and feed your pets. There's too much of a "fear your neighbour" attitude in Britain. That's what stops it moving on. And it's fostered by the media and politicians all the time. Forget it! It's not helpful, and makes life miserable. Cheers Jim.
We all know Jim that it's all part of the big plan. Saturate a town/area, become mayor's and local MP's, work their way to the top in Westminster and other authorities then change the laws and before too long we'll all be called to pray.

You cannot just blame Khan you can also blame the Government who continually allow him to exceed his authority his wings could easily be clipped by returning the Metropolitan Police to the control of the Home Office. He is being allowed to openly discriminate against the indigenous population.

READ THE PHARKING INSTRUCTIONS! On a multi zone player, if it rejects a disc because the zone is wrong (It will tell you which zone the player is expecting) A,B,C or D. Check your disc and it will tell you which zone it is for (Say B) . Switch the player off, press the disc number on your remote A=1, B=2, C=3, D=4 in this case 2, then restart your player and off you go. Even I can do that.
dvd's and physical media will make a come back at some point , Its nice to own media they cant take off you or selectively edit a classic for the woke like a live streaming service would/could.

The DVD regions bollocks is one thing that has pissed me right off for years! Why do it? Just one type that plays anywhere in the entire world on any device has to be a winner! How can anyone fault that?
