Al Hendrix was a good man. He always shared the estate with both sides of JIMI’s family. IMO the Jinka’s stole the estate from Al Hendrix the same way Leo Branton did, by taking advantage of an incapacitated man.
I've been a fan of Jimi Hendrix for close to 45 years. It's sad that all of this legal drama is going on with the family...Jimi wouldn't want that and he's probably spinning in his grave. There's a old saying: "Money turns you into who you really are". Janie's a damn vulture. It's not hard to do the right thing for the family...Jimi's music is worth more today than all the years he was alive and there's more than enough money to go around. I hope all this will be settled soon. One thing Leon was wrong about was Jimi's headstone in the memorial. Janie had NOTHING to do with that. It's the stone that was in place at the original grave location from 1970, not a new one. The guitar engraving has always been that way. Thanks for sharing this video. I really enjoyed it. Please keep sharing these gems about Jimi...He's definitely worthy of it.
@HendrixMusicAcademy1 Thank you so much for sharing this & everything you do Tina! I think your foundation is amazing and I would volunteer if I didn't live so far away. I am in Concord, NH which is about 1 hour north of Boston. I did not realize certain people have unfortunately tried to make his financial legacy all their own. Enough of that, Jimi Hendrix is about love & sharing music. I am a guitar player and when I was really young (I was born in the mid 1960s) I first heard the music of Jimi Hendrix. He touched my soul and Jimi is the reason I picked up an electric guitar. I bought a Wah Wah Pedal as well so I could "try" to get as close to his sound as I possible could. I have 2 American made Fender Stratocasters & a Marshall Tube Amp along with a vast collection of foot/effect Pedals including a Uni Vibe. I love that your foundation teaches people, especially kids music for free. That is my entire philosophy. I have taught at least a dozen people to play guitar over the years & never charge a dime for doing so. I believe in passing on what was taught to me & what I taught myself to others. Before the internet days we actually had to get together in person with each other to jam and learn licks & music theory from each other. I currently teach a friend music theory as lessons can get extremely expensive really fast. I wish I could get the proper words out that would do justice to just what Jimi Hendrix means to me & the impact he has had on my life & musical learning adventure. He changed everything for me and made me want to become the best player I could possibly become. If there is ever a way I could help out or volunteer for your foundation from my place I would be honored do to so. One of my all time favorite lyrical line from a song is from the song "Are You Experienced" when Jimi sings "We'll hold hands and then we'll watch the sunrise from the bottom of the sea" That line still takes me to a beautiful place even after listening to it for many decades. Keep up the amazing work you are doing Tina. You have made the Hendrix name something to be very proud of. Have a wonderful day & Take Care!!!!
Her and Yoko man.. We know Julian got screwed..he puts on a forgiving face nowadays..but that wasn't the case. Leon is Jimi's brother and cleaned up his act. Janie is a,half sister with no soul.
I'll admit i've bought some of the recent Hendrix releases, because i love Jimi's music, but how the blood relatives have been done so dirty by Janie and all the others is just all kinds of wrong. Tina, your doing a grand job in attaching jimi's legacy to good things in the world, and i'm sure jimi would be really proud. Hope you and your family get things sorted out one day. 🤞🎸
This always happens most of the time in celebrity families when there’s legal document's inheritance and large amounts of money, all the snakes come crawling out,it happened with Jackie Wilson estate,James Brown estate,Johnnie Taylor estate and many many others in the music industry, folks it’s a cut throat business,it always happens after the passing of a legend.
It would be different if Janie Jinka actually had some kind of relationship with Jimi, even a friendship, but there is ZERO relationship and the corrupt courts sided with the NON-Black entity of course. They weren't going to let black people have all that money! They gave it to the Jinkas instead! So unfair to Jimi's son, brother and nieces and nephews that are left in poverty while the Jinkas roll around in purple Mercedes suing all of Jimi's family with Jimi's own money.
No disrespect to you for digitizing this and sharing it. Somehow you have been jinxed by the visual aspect ratio of the images. Everyone looks too wide and stumpy..
