June, with Chandler out of the picture, Hendrix had settled into a pattern.
Daytime sessions were for cutting tracks with Eddie Kramer, while evening sessions soon became Hendrix’s after-hours retreat - a place where he and his friends could jam and capture their ideas on tape.

I always wish these episodes were longer. But always thrilled to see a new one. Seeing Jimi jamming with Jeff Beck must have been phenomenal. Beck was my favorite Gtr player growing up... Next to John Mclaughlin. Hearing things like this and BB King opening for Jimi really makes me wish I was born earlier. Unfortunately can't go back in time but these episodes are a constant source of such great info and pics. Thanks for starting my day off with another fabulous episode.

Totally agree with you! On the other hand, we have the benefit today of appreciating those musicians and the unique contributions they made, particularly when viewed from the present. The advance of technology and commercialization have failed to deliver, in my humble opinion, the powerfully rich and creative joy that music of past gave birth to. Thank you for that contribution. Cheers.

When I was in 5th grade I was in a advanced class with 2 other students well we had 2teachers and for a week I was given headphones and a booklet, it was all about Hendrix along with his music for a week I went to this class learning all about his life. Man I wish I still had that tape and book that you turned the pages along with. Loved him ever since, what a beautiful human being this man was. Thanks Bellybutton window for helping to keep his memory alive!🤟

In 1990 I bought a box set Live and Unreleased. It had a brilliant but bizarre outtake of 1983. It was said Jimi and Eddie stayed all night mixing and capturing the sounds. It was great to hear some of the failed experiments that led to the finished version. While it was great he got to jam at the studio it was imperative after such a great waste of money to have his own studio built. Ed Chalpin was such an ass. And it haunted Jimi until the day he died.

So nice to wake up to another episode of Jimi, especially from this time period. While I had heard of him jamming with The Jeff Beck Group, I didn't know they jammed that many times... boy, that would've been great to witness. I look forward to each new episode, here at the Belly Button Window channel... it almost makes it seem like Jimi's still with us. You can find many, if not all, of the bootleg recordings of The Jimi Hendrix Experience, all over Ytube, if you just keep looking. The quality of many is 'barely listenable'.... but if you love Jimi, you put up with it. There are also some pretty good ones too. The 'listen-ability' of these bootlegs, depends on how finicky you are. Nice work, Belly Button Window!!! Of course.... 5 out of 5 🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮, Juicy Pink Tacos

This was great, the info about how they split Rainy day and how they recorded Electric Ladyland. Jimi got so fucked by dirtbag Jefferies/murderer. 3 percent? Mike Jefferies killed Jimi Hendrix rather than lose control of him. Jimi wasn't naive he knew what a dog eat dog the music game was. See that beautiful smile always?, Jimi knew how blessed he was. Money wasn't his bag he was just grooving on the ride. I'll always love Jimi Hendrix my musical soul brother. And I'll never forget the night we jammed on the spirit plane.

Jimi wuz so deep & had such an ntuitive soul, dat he probably knew $, wuz fake & dat dis wuz just 1 BIG ole game of Monopoly/Life. He wuz not a dumb-azz, tho. He undastood, 99% of da otha yokelz, n America & around da civilized world, didn't undastand DUH CONcept. So, he played da game. Undastanding da game, meanz u can play it on a higher level. While just about everybody else wuz groveling 4 DUH BS, ( $ ) he wuz chill, laid-back, & knew tho he spent $, it wuz gonna come back n, 10fold. I will keep dfending Jimi. He bought a coupla housez, 3 or 4 vehiclez, sum guitarz, handed $ out here & there, & xperimented n da studio. All dat 2gether, iz probably 1 gig, n 1969. BIG DEAL!!! Meanwhile....... How much did he lose 2 his Manager - Michael Jeffery? BTW - I don't think Hendrix woulda pursued Mike Jeffery, 4 mbezzeld fundz. I think, once again, Hendrix knew mo $, then all he'd made up 2 so far, wuz about 2 come in, wit da release of his new material. Had he lived, he woulda been rite!

Don't know if it's just me, but isn't the "air" in the episodes getting slowly but surely heavier? Not talking about the storytelling which is superb as from the very first video, but I mean the growing troubles in Jimi's life seem to step in more and more as time passes... and the atmosphere is now oscillating between very positive and free, and very dark and swallowed by the "business" part of his story... I remember that in the first episodes, at least up to the big times, the atmosphere of the events seemed very much more relaxed, with troubles just the usual daily struggles (for example the tours which meant a lot of time on the bus), all of this aside from the positivity of his career working out. Don't know... maybe it's just the hindsight of knowing that these events (probably starting with the end of the collaboration with Chas Chandler) are the prelude of what has brought Jimi Hendrix to his death, what do you think?

Such a shame Jimi , Noel & Mitch had to deal with such cut throat people just to play his music the way he wanted to. It was the right time for him but they badgered him constantly & ripped him & them off every chance they could which he simply never deserved. Boy i would have loved to be a fly on the wall when Jimi did this secret jam with Jeff ,holy shit that must have been a blast for both of them. i must admit in a few of these photos that Natural finish Les Paul he's playing i have not seen ,only his 56 Black Custom , very cool to see him with another Gibson , Guess the story of why or who's les Paul that is & he's there with horns , hmmm very interesting indeed. Been a Hendrix fan since 67 when i was only 11 & snatched my older sisters copy of Are You Experienced , I was close then i am definitely now. Just started fooling with a guitar i has gotten from the son of one of my folks friends who sadly had to go to Nam & he had given me his cheap Silvertone acoustic . Took some years & then lessons to learn & i still play at 68 years young. One of the best things to happen was he did come home from the war . Loving this series as as long as i have been a hendrix fan i am learning things all the time that back then we just had no info other than the crap publications that gave us some good pictures but zilch on what really was going on just in Jimi's world which he still had to love the adulation he got from real fans & not the fake ones he hated. So many jams i would have loved to hear such as the ones he did with Larry Coryell ,, wow would have be the word to describe what notes flew out the those guitars & amps between them. Just absolutely great stuff.

Totally understand your sentiments, particularly looking back today, however it is important to remember that rock'n'roll as a cultural phenomenon, was relatively new arguably starting in the mid-1950s. And as such, everyone on the business side was out to, as the adage goes, 'make hay while the sun shines'. New, wild and exciting industries attract both visionaries and shysters. Also, music was at the forefront of the counter-cultural divide of the 60s, creative and free-spirited musicians being manipulated and constrained by the establishment record companies and media landscape. I hope that makes sense? Cheers.

Like Jimi said "That is when we go wrong, when we compare artists...I mean, I cannot figure out who is better, BB King, or Segovia!' Jeff Beck was more experimental in his approach, much like Jimi was...Eric was a very smooth, excellent player, who blended power Rock riffs into his more traditional Blues approach. Both men, IMO, stand close to Jimi, but not quite a great as Jimi was!
