♦Jimin mentioned that one of his fav movies “Like Crazy” inspired parts of the song aside from the title of song. In the beginning as well as ending to the song, he even samples excerpts from it. Jimin has also said that many of the songs on the album convey what he was going through, his thoughts, his feelings, his emotions as well as despair & depression, during the pandemic in the last few yrs. He also was hoping that maybe he could help other who may relate, going through similar difficulties during pandemic. So this song Like Crazy, could also be during that time, thinking back while laying his head down, on table in that depressing small room, dreaming of the better times in the past, when he was free to enjoy himself, as wel as being with someone or with friends, or even around ppl in general, being able to be free to go out & party. Which is why he even said in the lyrics please don’t wake me up from this dream. I want to stay here.. Maybe that was what all the dirty grimyness also represented, despair of situation, how he felt or how things were at that time, even when it seemed to even ooze into his dream state.

Jimin was now on Jimmy Fallon and it totally transformed the song to something else. I have watched that performance already some 6 times and I still enjoy it so much. That performance is sensual, elegant and on some level quite unexpected.

This song is sssooo beautiful. Jeez. Jimin is so good betraying how he feels in his lyrics and videos. I believe Jimin is dreaming. These songs came about due to the way he was feeling during Covid. He's lonely and wants to get out. I think the mud reference being stuck. He's pulled into the club to have a good time,but I feel drinking my help with being lonely. He doesn't want the sun to come up because he knows it will end. I think the girl represents ARMY. Jimin loves and misses his fans, so he's looking for them, trying to meet them in person. The mud on his hand at the end is probably his dream and reality overlapping. Remember, like crazy is the first song on the album, and set me free the last. That's why they are so different. The album is the journey he was on. ANYHOO, I LOVED THIS SONG, WHATEVER IT MEANS

Synth pop will never die, it's eternal. And it suits Jimin so well! But he'd pull off any genre, I'm convinced of it🔥

This was 💯 sultry 80s vibe! I’d recognize that sound anywhere!!! (note the signature 80s mullet) but Jimin put his special ‘stamp’ on it! This brings back old memories! He makes me want to go back to that era and experience it all over again! Another masterpiece! Beautiful, haunting, sexy, honey sweet, Angel voice!!!! He’s all grown up!!! Love him so much!!!💜👼🏻🐥👑 Notice the words “Set Me Free” on the bathroom wall?! To me, this is about escapism from his troubles but being lonely at the end of it…it didn’t work - the troubles don’t go away. I didn’t get a happy vibe…it felt emotionally sad/painful. ***This whole album is just incredible!!! Phenomenal!!!

Not you taking notes while not looking at the paper 😂🤪🤔😂 I laughed so hard! If you know, you know! As far as the song/video meaning, from what Jimin himself said and the story telling in the video, it does seem like relying on alcohol to get himself through on the daily (during the pandemic) is a consistent theme throughout the album. Also, after seeing the choreography on Jimmy Fallon, I agree that the girl represents the “feminine” side of him, which he has struggled with accepting over the years. Every man has a feminine side and every woman has a masculine side. It’s a matter of how prevalent that part of you is. Nobody can answer that for anyone else! I love everything about this album….piece of art for sure!

As the album is focused on depression and some difficult times he endured over the past couple of years, I think the song could be about escapism, and how sometimes it can be easy to try to drown out the feelings of loneliness with alcohol and wandering thoughts, and it could almost feel like nothing else matters and you're enjoying yourself lost in the moment ('I'm feeling so alive, wasting time'), but eventually you'll have to wake up and return to reality and face that room filled with nothing but yourself and your own thoughts. Another interpretation could be that all the people surrounding him in the MV represent ARMY, and while he's on stage performing and interacting with ARMY, he's having the best time, but at the end of the day, he is an idol in front of and judged by millions of fans, and he cannot tell us everything even if he wants to, so there's still a feeling of disconnect and loneliness despite being surrounded by so many people who love and support him. Just like in 'Interlude: Dive', you feel that emptiness when he returns home alone, and he'd still rather be in the 'dream'/'lost in the lights' on stage where he's surrounded by ARMY and having a good time, despite never being able to forge real-life connections with the people who love him from afar. From his perspective as an idol, everyone loves him but no one truly knows him. He feels the love on stage, and we obviously still love and support him from across the oceans and behind our screens, but it must be lonely not being able to forge real connections with the people he dedicates most of his life and career to. It's like the imposter syndrome to the extreme ('all my reflections, I can't even recognise'). But, despite all of that, he'd still rather not wake up from having these good times shared with ARMY, even though one day, that might all end and people's lives will go on just like they always do. Obviously, this is just another of my interpretations. I know many interpret the reflections part differently, but I personally don't feel comfortable commenting on that unless Jimin explicitly tells us that's what he was going for (not that there's anything wrong with it, but moreso because I feel something like that is very personal and should not be casually speculated on). I personally think it's genius how the songs are ordered in the album. It feels to me like we're going through 5 different stages of depression with him: 'Face Off' - anger/dejection, 'Interlude: Dive' - the feeling of emptiness after leaving the stage, 'Like Crazy' - escapism, 'Alone' - loneliness, and 'Set Me Free Pt.2' - finally setting himself free from these negative thoughts. I think 'Interlude: Dive' is super underrated, and the transition from 'Interlude: Dive' to 'Like Crazy' is hauntingly beautiful.

Jimin said face is what he felt in the pandemic in chronological order. Face-off starts with the sounds of the world shutting down, interlude dive is Jimin lost going through the motions, gulping a drink it leads into like crazy and the alarm rings in alone, clock ticking till set me free Also, the guy on his pants is Robert Mapplethorpe who is essential to queer art history/photography in NYC. That's a subtle yet huge reference. Him standing in between while the man and the woman kissed + The woman is his reflection so it might be about having a conflict between masculine and feminine sides, trying to accept but never actually coming to terms with himself and that’s why they never met in mv.

Hi Anthony, when I first saw your reactions quite a few months ago I decided to give you a chance, because you had started to react TO BTS. You had your own issues some of which you let us know about. You have come along way since then since reacting to BTS but I decided not to follow you because you became cocky. Did BTS inspire you you to come to where you are today and get back your MOJO. They definitely inspired me during COVID. After seeing them on The James Cordon Show in the USA, JIMIN'S smile and eyes stood out and later his warm caring personality towards all THE BTS members took me down the deep dive down THE BTS RABBIT HOLE from 2013 until now. You are extremely confident now almost over confident. They certainly inspired me a 76 year old fan from Australia 🇦🇺. I choose my reactors , voice coaches and choreographers carefully. My daughter and husband are in the arts, she is a former dancer and now a film editor and writer. Her husband is a Videographer. But both have to supplement their creative accomplishments with 2nd jobs. Anyway the point I'm making is that you have changed, where you inspired by BTS. 10:44 did you notice Jimin and a woman walking through the crowd towards each other. This video is sexier than anything BTS has done in the past but I guess they weren’t ready to go there completely because it didn’t show the two of them reaching each other. I had no idea you would be into popsynth music. I grew up with this genre, late 70s and early 80s. All-time favs are Depeche Mode and Yazoo. Vincent Clark was the genre genius back then (at least for me 😂).

I have heard rumor that V and Jungkook are in this video. I am convinced one of them is the guy in the light blue, blue jean jacket on the right in that hallway scene. Looks like V from the back in my opinion. Its the hair and the way he carries his shoulders that make me think that. Idk for sure because the scene happens so fast.

Your reaction was awesome. Junkook was in the hall. The whole album is about depression he battled as well as him self medicating with alcohol. Set me free is his inner negative thoughts and alcohol. This one is about using alcohol to keep him numb. The woman walking towards him I was told is jimin’s feminine side . Lots of little snips. The whispers at the beginning and end are from his favorite movie. I love the album but can’t listen to “alone” without crying.
